"On arrival, we were greeted by an enthusiast security officer who was awaiting our arrival😊 . After a bit of a drive, we were amazed that we had a personal ranger Lianet waiting to officially welcome us to Fin Foot. Timekeeping and close attention to detail from every single member at the lodge was so on point. Our check-in process at reception was done online so we just literally greeted and received big smiles and collected our room keys and were briefed by our ranger regarding all the activities and times etc. Everything at the lodge was just simply amazing from the friendly staff to excellent food to well-planned activities for both adults and children. The kids were so well entertained that you did not even have to try finding things for them to do. I get the NO TV … one does not need one after an enjoyable day out with your ranger in the bush or just relaxing at the lodge. It was amazing to see how much passion each staff member took in their portion of duties at Finfoot, and all were done with big smiles and offered extra kind gestures to all guests. "Everything is dilapidated, rooms are run down, furniture is worn. The surrounding building i.e spa and conference hall is also dated and in a state of disrepair old furniture items and broken things are standing around the premises. This place is not managed well and it's definitely not managed by people with skill in the game. In addition I think they are overworking staff I had the same two ladies at reception for three days for greater than 12 hour stints which shows alot. In addition the staff also used the dining hall during breakfast and supper. They won't see me again. "

"Booking was easy, host was very friendly. We took 3 rooms. All 3 were done to perfection and neat. Beautiful bedding. Very charming and interesting place. Garden and plants were so stunning and really impressively maintained. I mentioned on arrival that we don’t eat meat but fish and veg. Hostess went out of hee to make fresh delicious pancakes with a lightly smoked creamy hake filling for breakfast. Kids lapped it up. Thank you very much for a beautiful and comfortable stay."

"Safari Hotel (Orion) – 10/10 My husband Pogiso Marakalla and I stayed from 3 April 2026 to 5 April 2026, and we left truly impressed. Rooms: Spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything worked perfectly and the beds were excellent. Cleanliness: Top notch. Our room and all common areas were spotless every day. Food: Fresh, tasty, and good variety at every meal. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and dinner service. Staff: The General Manager and the Manager went above and beyond to make our stay smooth. They were professional, warm, and sorted out every request quickly. The whole team was friendly and attentive. We felt genuinely looked after from check in to check out. Based on the rooms, cleanliness, food, and the outstanding help from the General Manager and Manager, we happily rate Safari Hotel (Orion) 10/10. We will definitely be back.
