"BE AWARE OF THE OWNERS ATTACKING DOGS!!!!! Unfortunately my family had a terrible experience at the Overlander Homestead Motel after staying 1 night. We cut our stay short when about 10 of the owners Dachshund dogs ran towards me barking aggressively as I was walking towards the pool area from our room to supervise our children in the pool. I was bitten 3 times on the legs through my jeans before the owner was able to get to me. This was unprovoked. She was extremely apologetic but it does not excuse the fact that both of the owners knowingly have these aggressive little dogs around the public! Could have been much worse if it was one of the children. This is not okay and I will not be recommending this business to anybody. Locals tell me this is not the first time the dogs have harassed people on the premises, so the owners are aware! We refused to stay the second night and had a much more pleasant stay in another motel, Athena, that was not as old and dated as this one."
