"We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Promissory Hotel in Roanoke, and our experience was vastly elevated by the outstanding and proactive service provided by the manager, Gloria. Before we even arrived, Gloria demonstrated a level of care and anticipation for her guests' needs that is truly rare in the hospitality industry. She took the initiative to call us completely out of the blue to discuss our room assignment. Recognizing that the rooms we had originally selected were located near the back of a neighboring nightclub, she recommended moving us to a different section of the hotel to ensure we would not be disturbed by the noise. Her foresight and dedication to our comfort saved us from what could have been a sleepless night, and the new rooms she provided were absolutely perfect. Gloria’s commitment to our experience did not stop there. When we attempted to book a table at the highly sought-after Suerte restaurant, we were disappointed to be told that no reservations were available until after 8:30 PM. Upon learning of this, Gloria personally intervened and connected with the restaurant's manager and she managed to secure a prime dinner reservation for us at Suerte well before the late-evening slots we were originally offered. During dinner the manager of the restaurant came by our table to be sure everything was going well with our delicious meal and tasty Spanish wine. The Promissory Hotel itself is a wonderful property in Roanoke, but it is the leadership and personalized care from staff like Gloria that truly sets it apart. If you are looking for a hotel where the management genuinely looks out for your best interests and goes above and beyond to curate a flawless stay, look no further. We highly recommend the Promissory Hotel and will absolutely be returning!"
