Radisson Blu Saga Hotel, Reykjavik

Really enjoyed our stay, staff couldn’t do enough for us. Loads of suggestions for tours which they could book at receptions and pick up was from the hotel foyer. Our rooms had a great view and was warm and comfortable. For the price couldn’t ask for more.

So booking excursions and checking address to find hotel permanently closed. Thankgod we checked else not sure we would have been notified. Holiday not until January 2022, but have heard nothing from the company. Very disappointed as when we booked my comment was "its a radisson blu, you know what you're getting, its a decent hotel". After this ill never book with them again.

I feel for all of you that have only just found out this hotel is bankrupt. We were in the same position and had paid just shy of £1000 to the hotel. We tried to battle with radisson but quickly found out that although you may book through radisson the hotel is treated as an independent and as it is bankrupt you won't get your money back. We have claimed through our credit card and have received the refund although they said they would contact the hotel and we may have to pay back. WE NEED TO BE AWARE THAT A BOOKING THROUGH RADISSON IS NO MORE SECURE THAN BOOKING WITH SN INDEPENDENT. If you were sold your holiday after the hotel went bankrupt I would have thought you have a good case to sue radisson. GOOD LUVK AND I HOPE YOU ALL GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

This hotel has closed permanently. I only found out when I randomly checked TripAdvisor and saw the below reviews stating the same. My travel agent had not been informed, nor had their supplier. Very poor from Radisson not to communicate and advertise this clearly. The link on their website doesn’t even state the hotel is closed, just transfers to the other (now only) Raddisson hotel in Iceland.

We were due to visit this hotel originally in nov 2020. It wasnt until we tried to change the booking that we discovered that this hotel has gone into bankruptcy. We paid just under £1,000 which we now have to try and battle to get back some how. Radisson not remotely interested. Outrageous that you book through a large organisation for security to then find you are basically booking with an independent hotel.
