블루 시 호텔 아파트먼트(Blue Sea Hotel Apartments)

Great location, just across the street from the beautiful sandy beach. The pool is bigger than what it seems in the pictures. We were in a comfortable 2-bedroom apar**ent, furnished with everything you need and lots of windows and two balconies. Just be aware that the price on trip.com does not include the the a/c. Ileas and his family are very friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you!

TLDR; very cozy and chill beach & pool getaway if you just wanna take it easy in a home like environment. my initial (and final) reaction was that the photos don’t do justice to the place. based on pictures i expected something less nice and more worn out. i agree not everything was brand new and sparkly but overall fine and what you’d expect from a local greek b&b. our apar**ent was very spacious (50m2?) and in good condition, with a balcony (view of the sea between buildings) and a small modern-ish bathroom. nice kitchen with a table. the hotel is a bit like labyrinth but not in a bad way, it allows every apar**ent to have its own entrance and balconies that are not next to each other. importantly our apar**ent was very quiet, we had a good sleep until 11-12am. the aircon is only enough for the bedroom so the rest of the apar**ent is warm but that was ok for us. the aircon is also quiet. very nice owners, they make you feel like home. even brought a drying rack to our balcony which was useful. the pool temperature in july was around 27-29c, in other words very nice and comfy. u can move the poolside chairs around to get shade under the trees, i enjoyed the peace & quiet, perfect for reading and chilling. wasnt busy in mid july. there is s bit more yard space than shown in the photos. you can get drinks from the bar which is by the reception and enjoy them by the pool. cocktails were 4euros and wine 2 euros per glass. we were supposed to go on excursions but ended up chilling by the pool as it was so easy and relaxing. the beach on the other side of the road is practical too. there are good restaurants and shops nearby, even the highest rated restaurant of a rethymno is 3-4min walk away (Nostos). next door Solti has great brunch/lunch options. the other guests during our stay were Dutch 30-50 yr old couples or families (no small kids). if i must look at negatives as i always do, sure its not dashing new and the pool is small. based on my research tho there are no bigger pools in the area, only more expensive ones and/or ones with very little shade. the old town is a 25min walk so not something to do every day perhaps. still, this is one of my few 5 star places (price-quality ratio considered).

Booked one bed apar**ent with balcony or terrace on arrival taken to a room studio bed sit..bed separated by book case not a separate room. No privacy no nets at windows could see straight into room from pool etc.the terrace was a shared pathway..moved to his sister's hotel rather than sort a apar**ent that we booked how can you say one room is a one bed apar**ent.. love holiday need to re visit and re star these apar**ents.be careful cruby musty old tired room not rustic or charming appalling.

A beautiful appar**ent hotel next to the boulevard. Beach just crossing the street. Nice, clean and spaceous appar**ents with good beds. Small but great swimming pool and very friendly staff. In the neighbourhood you will find nice restaurants and bars.

Lokatie is tóp! Aan de boulevard, uitzicht op zee, maar uit de drukte. Ruime slaapkamers en een ruime woonkamer. Alle ramen zijn voorzien van luiken én zware gordijnen, erg prettig om de warmte en zonlicht buiten te houden. Goed functionerende keuken, douche en toilet. Iedere dag schoonmaak, opmaak bedden en het verwisselen van de pedaalemmerzakjes voor schone (er mag geen toiletpapier door het toilet gespoeld worden) Welwillende en vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel. Wij waren blij met iedereen. Schoonmaakpersoneel spreekt geen of weinig Engels maar met handen en voeten zijn we eruit gekomen. En het heeft ook wel wat. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad aangezien de zee aan de overkant van de straat is. Ook geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt omdat wij 's morgens aan een bak koffie genoeg hebben en koffiezetapparaat deed zijn werk. Balkonnetje heeft een lekker zitje. 2 dagen airco geprobeerd maar dat bleek overbodig. Het is kleinschalig, wat onze voorkeur heeft, over het algemeen werd het bewoond door Nederlanders. Er heerst een gemoedelijke sfeer, precies waar wij van houden. We hebben uiteindelijk 4 jaar moeten wachten tot we konden gaan (ivm ziekte en Covid) en het stelde zeker niet teleur....van alle hotels etc die we onderweg en in Rethymnon gezien hebben is dít ons stekkie, we bleven maar zeggen: wij hebben t beste plekkie! Wij gaan 100% zeker terug!

Prachtige zee voor de deur, aardige en behulpzame eigenaar, goede schoonmaak 6x per week, aardig personeel rustig gelegen, klein zwembad, prima om af te koelen, grote supermarkt op loopafstand, superleuk centrum boordevol winkels en restaurants.

We hebben erg genoten van de gastvrijheid van deze familie! Het ontbijt is prima en je hebt genoeg tijd om rustig wakker te worden met uitzicht op zee. De appartementen zijn zeer schoon, ruim en de badkamer is, zeker voor Griekse begrippen, groot. De cocktails zijn ook een grote aanrader en het zwembad is heerlijk! Als we ooit nog terug komen, dan gaan we zeker weer hierheen, dankjewel voor jullie goede zorgen ❤️
