Very enjoyable 3 night stay. Stay very nice. Great location very close to beech and we had an amazing view from our 7th floor room. Food was very nice. I’m very fussy and for once I didn’t find anything to moan about!!!! Don’t like going back to the same place as I always like going somewhere new but I think I will make an exception for this hotel.

It was a great experience. 3 bigs swimming pools with garden, terrific views to the sea. Big room, good TV, perfect wi-fi and A/C. Confortable bed and pillows. All clean and bright. Breakfast was included and was excekent and plenty of different choices every day, with celiac options. Swimming pools were very clean and lot of sunbeds and umbrellas were around them. Staff polite and friendly always ready to help. Just 2 minutes, walking distance, from the hotel is the beach 'Cala Marsal' with white sand and blue water. Will come again!!! :)

We just got home from an amazing week away in Majorca. We had never been to the island before but saw a great deal for a week in this hotel, so we went ahead and booked. I can honestly say that i do not understand some of the bad reviews. My husband and I loved the hotel. The staff were lovely, the rooms were large, had a gorgeous sea view from the balcony, and beds were comfy. The pool area was perfect, the hotel was full, and there was still so much room in the pool, a lot of the time we had it to ourselves. There were plenty of sunbeds, we went down late every morning and there were always plenty. The animation team are fab and really made the place have a holiday vibe. A lot of people are dissing the breakfast but we found it fine, fresh eggs, bacon and churros...whats not to like! The location is perfect. We preferred the little town of Cala Marcal to Portocolom, we were right beside the beach and the little ***** of restaurants were lovely. The village had a great holiday feel to it. Also shout out to the housekeeping staff, they were the friendliest and really looked after us during our stay. We are already looking to book for next year and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Positives: Nice location surrounded by green open spaces, and only 5/7 minutes walk from a beautiful beach and a number of fantastic restaurants. Good facilities including two pool areas, pleasant gardens, and tennis court. Our room was on the 5th floor and had lovely panoramic views towards the mountains and a side sea view. Negatives: The hotel is very dated and looks like it hasn't been modernised or even decorated in the last 20 years. The food is basic - I'd suggest only booking bed & breakfast as there are lots of good restaurants & cafes close by. The room was dated, the bathroom needed refitting and the sink tap had to be repaired due to a leak.

One of the most insulting things about this hotel is that they have their 4 stars displayed everywhere. It's not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. First, the room wasn't clean on arrival, which is pretty basic. Reception was told and no apology was given but then it was cleaned properly. The room itself seemed to have been recently renovated so this is one positive but it was missing basic little things like towel hooks and a soap dispenser (the refill for a soap dispenser was left in the shower). The shower itself was terrible. You could only clean yourself in the brief periods between scolding hot and icy cold water that fluctuated constantly. It keeps you on your toes in the shower but could actually be rather dangerous for a child. The food is the worst I've ever experienced in this kind of hotel. Very low quality in general. It's not only the quality of the food though, it's also the ambiance of the room. It's more like eating in a work canteen (if work canteens were full of unhappy staff wheeling carts around and loudly throwing plates and cutlery into boxes). Eating, usually one of the pleasures of a 4 star hotel, became a chore. There are many other little things to pick on here (including why they keep the reception refrigerated to the point that people need to wrap up before going in there) but overall the message should be that this hotel isn't worth the effort.

Very friendly and helpful staff made our stay in Hotel Club Cala Marsal so enjoyable. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our 2 small children throughout our stay. The facilities were great, particularly the pools, and we found the location very handy for various day trips covering the South and East of the island. We would like to return again some day!

As I say in the title, stay away from this hotel. To make it short, I will summarize: 1. The food is absolutely disgusting. A lot of choice but everything is cheap and the lowest possible quality. 2. The rooms are very small, the air conditioning makes noise the whole time and the bathroom stinks. The water from the shower comes very hot, then very cold and if you move it you get burnt or frozen. 3. At the reception there is a long queue of people and only 1-2 employees available. They also ignore every single request you make: we will contact the responsible department or technician, etc. nothing happens afterwards. 4. The swimming pool is too small and too crowded for a hotel with 350 rooms. People also sit with music very loud and nobody dares to ask them to lower it or turn it off. 5. For a family hotel, there is no children entertainment during the afternoon. Only in the morning and after 20:30. After 20:30 most children are actually sleeping!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Cala Marsal Hotel. The room was really clean with towels changed every day. We chose a room with a sea view and got one with a stunning view of the beach over the road. The food is tasty and fresh with lots to choose from. Staff were very friendly and always tried to make sure that guests were happy. We stayed there out of the peak season and there were plenty of sun loungers always available by the pool. Definitely would recommend
