At the end of a tree-lined drive, you'll find Chateau Pardot nestled on 6 secluded, wooded acres with THE best view in Stowe! Take a step back in time as we welcome you into our ~4,000 square foot home that's been in our family for more than 30 years. It's filled with antiques and decor that we hope feels more like home than a rental property. There are many nods in the artwork and fixtures to Stowe's annual hot air balloon festival. Antique European doors were hand-selected and retrofitted for the home. The wooden beams in the living and dining areas were salvaged from an old Canadian barn. Patterned terracotta tile floors grace the main level and parquet hardwoods in the remaining areas. The St. Charles kitchen is always a conversation piece! The main floor is all living space (living room has new 55" smart TV). French doors from dining and living rooms open to a stoned patio and expansive yard ready to host all sorts of games or cozy up around the firepit.The second floor features an oversized primary suite with sitting area along with 3 other Queen bedrooms (all bedrooms have smart TVs). The entire basement floor is home to billiards, darts, game table, books, games, puzzles and large TV. Just off the main basement room are two youth bunks and a full bathroom. Though not in the official bed count, there is enough room for a queen inflatable mattress as well as room on the sectional sofa for additional sleep space.Every room has exceptional views across the valley toward Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. Travel time to Stowe Mountain Ski Resort is only 20 minutes. The pièce de résistance of Chateau Pardot might be the large, indoor heated swimming pool - the perfect place for all your guests to gather after a day in the snow or a long summer hike.Experience year-round fun at this home originally built by former owner of Green Mountain Inn. CAMERAS: At Stowe Country Cabin LLC, we are committed to your safety and well being. As such, there are two exterior cameras (one motion-activated floodlight camera overlooking the driveway, and one doorbell camera next to the side entrance). Guests (and Visitors) are prohibited from covering, tampering with, or disabiling the security cameras in any way. If this occurs, the reservation will be canceled (no refunds) and Guests/Visitors will be asked to vacate the property. The best way to get around Stowe is by vehicle (and preferably one with good tires that's 4WD or AWD) to safely navigate the rural and scenic roads, especially during winter. Visitors can rent vehicles from one of several companies at Burlington International Airport (BTV) in South Burlington. Public transportation is provided in town via Green Mountain Transit (GMT). In winter and early spring, guests can take GMT's free Mountain Road Shuttle from Stowe Village to Stowe Mountain Resort. In the warmer months, bicycles are a great option for shorter distances. Stowe also has fantastic mountain biking trails, hiking trails, and walking paths. Peg's Pick-Up Stowe Taxi, Patriot Transport, and Uber are also available for taxi services in/around Stowe. A signed paper contract is required to be completed and returned to Vacasa. - Property Specific terms: DAMAGE WAIVER The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee (USD) with the following costs, plus tax if applicable: 0 bedrooms: $60 for stays 1-3 nights, $15 per night for stays 4+ nights. 1 bedrooms: $60 for stays 1-3 nights, $15 per night for stays 4+ nights. 2 bedrooms: $80 for stays 1-3 nights, $20 per night for stays 4+ nights. 3 bedrooms: $100 for stays 1-3 nights, $25 per night for stays 4+ nights. 4 bedrooms: $100 for stays 1-3 nights, $25 per night for stays 4+ nights. 5 bedrooms: $120 for stays 1-3 nights, $30 per night for stays 4+ nights. 6 bedrooms: $120 for stays 1-3 nights, $30 per night for stays 4+ nights. 7 bedrooms: $140 for stays 1-3 nights, $35 per night for stays 4+ nights. 8 bedrooms: $140 for stays 1-3 nights, $35 per night for stays 4+ nights. The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to Vacasa prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. How to Report Damage Please report accidental damage as soon as it occurs so we can assess and minimize the extent of the damages. Damage Waiver Additional Terms and Conditions The Damage Waiver only covers damage that occurs during the authorized rental period and that Renter or an authorized guest reports PRIOR TO CHECK OUT. The Damage Waiver does not cover intentional damage or damage caused by smoking, pets or other animals brought onto the Property, or criminal activity. The Damage Waiver does not cover damage to any structure other than the Property covered by your confirmed, non-fraudulent reservation. Renter is responsible for any accidental damage that exceeds $3,000. Damages for covered claims in excess of $3,000 or for uncovered claims will be charged to the Renters credit card. The Damage Waiver program is provided and administered by Vacasa and is not an insurance policy.
