소피텔 골프 아자시오 탈라사 시 & 스파(Sofitel Golfe d'Ajaccio Thalassa Sea & Spa)

The hotel setting is fabulous, on a peninsula overlooking the bay and Adjaccio. From check-in to check-out the staff were very attentive and welcoming, really first class. The rooms are very nice, they are possibly a little tired but, I understand that the hotel is undergoing a re-furb in early 2024 which will, I am sure, address that. The beach is small but lovely, do get there early though as it fills up quickly - tip, go early evening as the sea is warm and most people have left so you can have the whole beach pretty much to yourselves. There was always room by the pool which is a great size and heated so a very comfortable swim. Food is very good although the menu doesn’t change so, after a week I think it would be too repetitive. There is nothing really around the hotel so you should hire a car. There are several places within a 10-20 minute drive. Overall a very relaxing stay in a lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Would very much recommend it.

Hotel was isolated. Away from all the great tourist spots. Rooms were on the older side, needs renovation. Food was subpar. Won’t be staying, not considered 5 star at all. Maybe 2 star at most. Don’t recommend at all.

Spent 1 night in Sofitel Ajaccio. We are big fans of the Sofitel brand and this was a big let down. The location is great, quite private and the views are incredible from rooms and public spaces. The airport is quite close hence there is some noise from the planes. The biggest issue for us was the room. The room and furniture were extremely dated and room felt super cluttered. The bed was great as always. Bathroom was terrible. Pool are is fabulous, as is the garden. Beach is just ok. Had dinner at their gastronomic restaurant and we were very disappointed.

We checked in to the Sofitel on July 19. Hotel seemed really pretty, nice ambience. We asked the concierge for a restaurant recommendation and JP the concierge recommended Agnarellu on the beach. We sat down and ordered a drink and a fish, when the fish arrived about 20 minutes later we had informed the staff that the fish was rubbery and didn’t taste very good. The waiter had brought the chef over and the chef got very angry that we didn’t like the fish. Right away he shoved me. I was in shock. I told him we will pay for the two drinks but not the fish. Four men came out of nowhere and jumped me and punched me in the nose. I tried to run away but they wouldn’t let me. My friend gave her credit card and they charged us $1150 for fake items we didn’t order. I was so startled I slightly hit the bumper of my car on the way back to the hotel. I took a video of the aftermath and showed the general manager Stephan of the hotel. The police came and advised me to go to the hospital first then to go to the police station. Local people told me that the restaurant is run by the mafia so I decided to just go to the hospital to have my broken nose assessed. I didn’t want to run the risk of being detained in France for not paying a restaurant bill or being followed by the mafia. The general manager was not sympathetic at all and didn’t even believe me that the restaurant staff had punched me. Stephan the general manager told me the owner of the restaurant came to the hotel and demanded his money and threatened that he will get his money one way or the other. Frightened and threatened by this I decided to pay $1140 to the hotel for food I didn’t eat or order. I have time logs of what time I arrived to the restaurant and what time I was beaten up. There is no way I was able to order and drink $1140 worth of food and alcohol. The hotel and restaurant saw two Americans staying at a nice hotel and not only took advantage of me financially but physically they hurt me. IF THIS MONEY IS NOT RETURNED TO ME I PLAN ON SUING THE HOTEL. Nous sommes arrivés au Sofitel le 19 juillet. L'hôtel avait l'air vraiment joli, bonne ambiance. Nous avons demandé au concierge une recommandation de restaurant et JP le concierge a recommandé Agnarellu sur la plage. Nous nous sommes assis et avons commandé un verre et un poisson. Lorsque le poisson est arrivé environ 20 minutes plus tard, nous avions informé le personnel que le poisson était caoutchouteux et n'avait pas très bon goût. Le serveur avait amené le chef et le chef s'est mis très en colère parce que nous n'aimions pas le poisson. Il m'a tout de suite bousculé. J'étais choqué. Je lui ai dit que nous paierions les deux boissons mais pas le poisson. Quatre hommes sont sortis de nulle part et m'ont sauté dessus et m'ont donné un coup de poing dans le nez. J'ai essayé de m'enfuir mais ils ne m'ont pas laissé faire. Mon amie lui a donné sa carte de crédit et ils nous ont facturé 1150 $ pour des articles contrefaits que nous n'avons

Very good stay. Beautifully situated property with panoramic views. Great pool. Staff are very friendly but some appear freshly hired. Breakfast buffet was fine but the coffee served leaves much to be desired (worse than Sanka).

Visited this location solo as a Diamond member in May 2022 for a 4 days' thalasso retreat. Nice room with a terrace. Very friendly staff at the reception. Outstanding breakfast in the renovated part of the hotel. Reliable room service. Thalasso was very decent: small facility makes it less stressful than in bigger accor thalasso properties. Treatments were nice. Overall very good experience.

We stayed during August at this hotel, part of a 3 - week holiday in Corsica. Sofitel was an attractive stay as we booked the 6 days "soins" for the thalassotherapy, which we enjoyed. It was our first time doing these sort of treatments and we were pleased to lose an extra inch post treatments (without any diet!!!). Special thanks to Christelle and Astrid who gave us the most fantastic massages. They are also lovely and professional, always in good spirits and we were very lucky to have them because they are always fully booked :) The food at the restaurant was extraordinary, good menu, not to mention the desert that was wow! the staff incredibly attentive and fast service. Really top, thanks guys! I saved the bitter part for last - unfortunately the rooms are not deserving a 5 star rating and definitely a bit overpriced for what they offer, these desperately need refurbishing as per the many comments that stated this. Just to manage expectations - they're more of a max 3 star but the bed is fantastic and the view over the sea is great too. If the management could put down a word for these to be refurbished, the hotel would be a top stay! Overall, we had a great stay! Many thanks!

Hotel was in a beautiful location. Property is dated, bathrooms and rooms are dated. No AC in any hotel areas other than rooms. Fitness center was literally a sauna as there was no AC and the doors were left open. Very small beach with limited chairs. Best aspect of hotel were the location and views.
