We have just returned from a 6nyt stay at the magic sports hotel, initially we were very apprehensive as the reviews were not great. The night we arrived it was really late and driving up to the hotel looked like a building site still. The rooms however were definitely one of the best we have stayed in, we had a football themed room facing the front of the hotel. Which was very quite at night time. The following morning for breakfast the reception areas and stairs to the buffet were filthy. It was clear that the hotel were very understaffed in that area. However it did improve as the week went on. The slides were all working by day 2 and it was very obvious that the staff at the hotel were doing everything they could to get hotel up and running. We would say the food was very average and warm. The kids selection was the same everyday. And the all inclusive food during the day was very poor doner meat, cold wraps and cold burgers left on the side of the bar. The staff have very little english which caused a barrier, we couldn't use any of the speciality restaurants as they were full every night for the duration of our stay. We tried the american diner and they couldn't fit us in, as full, meant 3 tables were booked - it made no sense given there were 2k guests staying in the hotel. A special mention to Frank in the restaurant he couldn't do enough for us on our stay and to the cleaning staff and bar staff were very friendly. There is potential for this hotel and resort to be very good, but we eould recommend waiting a year or two for all hotels to be completed, it had a vibe of derelict, shops were closed down and very little to do at night time even for a wander around. In all, we wouldn't return.😒
