머물기에 이 얼마나 멋진 곳인가!! 우리는 3박을 예약했고 떠나서 슬펐습니다! Shona, 우리 안주인은 우리를 매우 환영했습니다! 그녀는 친절하고 도움이되고 친절했습니다. BnB 건너편에 무료 주차장이 있었습니다. 그녀의 정식 Orcadian 아침 식사는 저녁 식사 시간까지 당신을 채울 것입니다! 침실은 깨끗하고 크기가 적당하며 호수를 볼 수 있습니다. 실내 욕실은 높은 수준이었습니다. 아래층은 라운지/조식실이었습니다. Sky TV를 보거나 호수 건너편을 바라보면서 차, 커피, 과일 주스 또는 요구르트를 무료로 즐길 수 있는 곳입니다. 우리는 또한 하루 전에 예약한 맛있는 가정식 저녁 식사를 즐겼습니다. 오크니에서 휴가를 보내기에 매우 편안한 장소로 여관을 적극 추천합니다. 그리고 우리는 Shona와 계속 연락할 것입니다.

Great overnight stay, close to the ferry at St Margaret’s Hope and a short drive into Kirkwall Shona is a brilliant host and cooked us a lovely breakfast. Tazzie the dog was defo a plus point, an absolute bundle of joy who was clearly delighted to see us!

Shona instantly made us incredibly welcome. Nothing was ever to much trouble for Shona. The room was very well equipped, lovely shower, comfy bed and amazing breakfasts with plenty of choice. Will definitely be coming back, already booked for my next break in Orkney.

As the title suggests the breakfast and room cannot be faulted in any way for our 1 night stay. This is the good bit and I should start the review by stating this. Room was spotless and the bed comfy. Shower was excellent. Arrival / check in :- We were delayed by around 90 mins due to poor weather meaning the ferry docked later than planned. When we arrived no-one was around. Saw another guest who said Shona would be somewhere. Eventually after around 10 mins Shona arrived - not a great start and we were told that we were late to which I found it necessary to explain why. Next we were asked did we wish to settle up the bill now before even going to see the room. We agreed and then followed an issue with our card. I knew exactly why it didn't work (it was not a contactless card and the PIN was needed) and I tried to explain but clearly our host knew better. Finally the card was accepted and payment taken. By this time we were concerned we might be late for our dinner reservation in Kirkwall. Our host then went into another room - we waited outside for about 5 mins and I eventually knocked to check all was ok - our host said she was emailing us a receipt - this could've waited in truth and we just wanted our key (which she had trouble finding). Once we had it she was about to leave but I had to ask which room we had and where it was !! Directions were given and we went up to find our lovely room. By this point had it not been late and the fact that we thought other places may've been full so no rooms available we would've left without staying. Now we cannot be certain but a previous review from Jul 2021 suggested that our host may've had a drink or 2. We did both feel this may've been the case for us. On our return from dinner we were asked would we like to join our host for a wine - we declined thinking this may've lead to more than just 1. On going to our room we feared that breakfast might be a disaster but how wrong we were. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed a fabulous well-cooked spread - one of the best in fact. So in summary - great room, fantastic breakfast with a welcome the like of which we have never previously experienced.

Nice friendly place, Shona was so lovely and helpful. The breakfasts were great, location was brilliant for seal spotting and travelling around the island. Plenty of extras in room (tea bags, coffee, drinking chocolate, milk, biscuits etc). We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute, had such a good time. Much prefer staying in a place like this than a large hotel. Thank you Shona for making our stay in Orkney so special. We will be back xx

We recently spent 3 nights at The Inn, having previously stayed there nine years ago. As before, the rooms were well equipped and spotless plus the cooked breakfasts were excellent. Shona, our host, is a delightful lady and the location is ideal for touring the Island. However, this time there were a few issues. There were no Covid precautions in place, as per Government guidelines, other than our rooms not being cleaned daily. There was no hand-gel available at any location on the premises and no obvious requirements for social distancing or mask wearing. We were greeted by our host and it was clear that she had been drinking. However, we had a pleasant chat and thought no more of it. The next morning though, the breakfast service was a shambles as no tables had been cleared from the previous day and our host was still clearly far from at her best. Shona did produce cooked breakfasts to her usual excellent standard but we do have to question the freshness of some of the food available. I am glad to say that, on the following two days, things did improve, so hopefully our experience was far from what would normally be experienced.
