We absolutely loved our TAD Luxury Sri Lanka. The tour guide, Mikey was fantastic. Nothing was a bother to him. Our driver, Lakmar, was amazing and should be commended for his driving up and around the mountains. Chombi, our friendly helper for everything was just great! Great staff! My highlights were the two safari parks! Absolutely amazing! Some days were exhausting as 2 outings were planned and it was impossible to enjoy our luxury hotels. Hotels were fantastic. The only disappointment in accommodation was The Hill Club, Nuwara Eliya. When we arrived we were read the rules by a young man who was very abrupt! Very old fashion stuffy dress code rules that are certainly not suitable for most Australians on Trip A Deal tours. I had diarrhea one night and there was no spare toilet paper in our room, just the one! My husband walked around looking for help for 30 minutes early morning but no luck. I phoned the after hours number (0) 4 times but the message said wrong number! The next night I asked for a blanket at about 4pm and nothing arrived so I called back about 6ish and was told, “None left”! I was offered a hot water bottle but declined. Couldn't wait to leave. We all decided not to eat there and went to the Grand Hotel next door for dinner both nights. The Hill Club is not a hotel but a club and should NOT be considered for any stay. The curtains and carpets are threadbare and the place smells mouldy. No fridge in any rooms. No air conditioners in any room. I would rate it as 1 star and that is for the gardens. Gardens were beautiful but that was the only positive thing I can say. Very disappointing to say the least!
