We were given an excellent tour by Hassim. A truly memorable experience and lovely place to come for quiet drinks in exceptional colonial surroundings. A must-do for visitors to Nuwara Eliya. Colonial bar, snooker room, historic photos. Definitely worth a visit.

Hassim gave us an informative tour before high tea. It was very interesting to see the historic photos of Royal visits. The two billiard rooms, one for non smokers was a surprising innovation. It was good to hear that ladies can now use the front entrance.

What can I say😊 it's a wonderful place to stay it...the rooms are very comfortable,the food is amazing,the staff is very courteous...there is an old world charm to this place that I loved...the place is just right for a good relaxed holiday.

I stayed for 3 nights from 16 to 19 April 2024. Hill Club is a beautiful hotel full of history and lovely architecture. I loved every bit of this hotel and the experience. If you want a luxurious stay in Nuwara Eliya this is your pick. Staff were professional, the service was impeccable - I even had night time biscuits and hot water bottle for the cool Nuwara Eliya nights! Wifi was stable, the flower garden was beautiful. We are ok of most of the things, nice garden, polite staff and nice food. Only inconvenience is the no under 5 years old allowed in the main building policy which is making the things a bit complicated, for instance if you want to have food together with the family, you have to ask delivery to the chalet where you are staying, on the other hand this is creating more work to the hotel staff, isn’t it? The rest are all fine and recommended.

My mum and I had a celebratory high tea at the Hill Club and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this fantastic old colonial club. It was very atmospheric and we were given a history and a tour of the club which was really interesting. The tea was incredible, great value and with lots of savouries included it was really varied and interesting as well as delicious to eat, we took some of it away with us as there was so much of it and we didn't want to leave any behind! We stayed on in the bar afterwards to make the experience last even longer. The staff here are great, really attentive, welcoming and friendly and made the whole experience really special, from Ravi serving tea to Manoj and Dhanu in the bar. I highly recommend a visit, thank you everyone there!

Beautiful club inside and out. The gardens and tennis courts are pristine as well as the surrounding jungle. The heritage of the club is preserved wonderfully. Trevin is a charming host. The whole experience feels like you’re taking a step into the early 20th century, providing a taste of life for the privileged members.

A lovely stay - thank you to Hasim for making it so special for our son with a guided tour and a snooker lesson! We will be back with the rest of the family to experience the season and the flowers again. Great views and beautiful gardens too. Particularly loved the hot water bottles at night!
