Upon entering hotel, all you could smell was ********* when we arrived at 1030pm. The woman at the desk was friendly. Informed the hotel had no ice. Should of known then this wasn't going to be good. Our room had was ok. The bathroom had dirty linens in tub. There were only one bath towel and 4 hand towels, two wash clothes. The toilet seat was broken. Next morning said to Young Indian man, we need bath towels and bathroom was dirty. Said he would take care of it. Come back to our room at 6pm. No towels in our room. The woman at the desk was very nice and accommodating. She tried everything she could to make our stay comfortable. So not blaming her. The next morning same India man at desk. The Choice hotel site said full breakfast. Why I chose this hotel. What a joke. There might of been 4 slices of white bread out. No juice, no milk. 4 yogurts in refrigerator. Couldn't find a cup to make a waffle. No butter, no syrup. Never again will I stay here.

The only thing I liked about this hotel was the clean rooms. Everything else: a major disappointment. We checked in Thursday 7/21, and the front desk computers were down. The front desk agent registered me by pen and paper, it took 25 minutes. When I went to my room, the air conditioner wasn't working, so I had to go back to the front desk and change my room (another 10 minutes by pen and paper). The air conditioning units in each room, lobby, and dining area were over 30 years old. The hotel itself (lobby, dining area, exterior building, landscaping, and parking lot) wasn't well maintained and didn't reflect the photos shown on the Travelocity website. There was peeling paint in our guest bathroom, and the furniture in the lobby was faded, dirty, and worn. The lobby computer was sitting on a desk that was bar high, but had a normal sized chair instead of a bar stool. The lobby computer also had unreliable internet connectivity. The bathroom had motion sensors that turned the light and fan on every time you walked in or past the bathroom. The front desk had staff who were visibly frustrated and unmotivated regarding the issues with the hotel. Two front desk personnel informed me they were on the receiving end of other angry, dissatisfied guests. The housekeeping staff wore regular clothes, not clothing indicating they were housekeeping; some of their clothes were untidy, and one of them was wearing jeans without a belt; his pants were hanging below his butt. Both ice machines were out of order. The website listed an outdoor swimming pool. but it was located at the adjacent hotel (a rundown hotel) next door and it was out of order. It didn't look like the pictures on the website. At 1215am Friday a front desk agent knocked on my door because they forgot I moved to another room. He needed to confirm that the room was occupied and not vacant. Breakfast had very few items, some of the items, such as fruit appeared frozen and almost rotten. I paid for two rooms for a total of $988 for an average cost of $165 a night. I rate this hotel as two stars. When it comes to hotels, first impressions and overall presentation are two key factors. Based on my three night experience, I won’t be returning. I did speak to the manager about the issues, and I received a $100 credit on my hotel bill. However, offering small credits pale in comparison to the overall issues of this hotel. The management and ownership seemed to care more about business than repeat business. When speaking to them directly, I felt they offered lip service, but no genuine concern for the issues with the hotel. I believe the issues I had with this hotel aren’t recent, and management nor ownership hasn’t taken any steps to improve the minor issues and the overall appearance and services of this hotel. Without an external inspection or audit, I feel the issues will be an ongoing experience for anyone who stays there.

I almost never leave reviews, and I've been traveling and staying in hotels for all of my 60+ years. This hotel is an embarrassment to the Comfort Inn brand and I've contacted them to alert them. It is next door to a ***** club and just outside the entrance to the Fort Eustis army base. I've attached a photo I took of this "gentleman's club." The elevator was broken. The unit's window A/C was barely working and made sounds I've never heard. The room was dingy. The hotel hasn't been renovated since the 1960s and it shows. The staff seems to know that everything is horrible and their morale is understandably very low. At morning breakfast, the only people eating breakfast were day laborers with orange vests on. I assume that the hotel staff is charging them under the table to make some extra cash. The location and parking lot are just as bad. I should have known better and turned around to leave, but I had already paid online. And the one-night bill was $150! If it were $40 and you were short on money, or if you wanted to spend some private time with a performer from the club next door, this might be a place you'd consider.

Stayed here on a quick overnight trip for an out-of-town wedding. Nothing special about this hotel; a little dated and lacking in amenities (no soaps or shampoos in the shower, A/C not blasting cold air, etc). It's annoying when hotels still aren't offering continental breakfast "due to COVID19" but have no other precautions in place, but I will say this grab-and-go breakfast was better than others I've experienced. If all you need is a safe, affordable place to drop your stuff and sleep, this Comfort Inn will work just fine.

First, they didn't have any breakfast. Second, I paid via "SnapTravel", and when I checked out, the desk clerk said as the payment from Snaptravel hadn't gone through to them, I had to give another credit card for payment. When I said no, and showed them my receipt from SnapTravel, they said I was trespassing AND CALLED THE COPS ON ME. And, by the way, they didn't have breakfast.
