The Whaler's Inn is an excellent place to stay, very welcoming and comfortable. Room was beautiful, bed extremely comfortable, and the amenities above and beyond expectations. The daily water boxes were a much appreciated perk, the afternoon cookies delicious and the 24/7 coffee & tea bar was fantastic. We highly recommend staying here, and will definitely return! Talk to Bryan about places to visit and book your excursions at front desk for discounts!

The Inn was lovely, and our experience was made even better by the front desk staff, especially the young man in the morning with the cozy sweater and the late night red head. From where to get breakfast sandwiches and pastries, without a ridiculous line, to a discussion on the town over our last drinks of the evening in front of the fire. It was also located right in the midst of all that mystic has to offer. Walkable to everything we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a very nice hotel with a great location smack in the middle of downtown Mystic, CT; close to the seaport, village and aquarium. The bed and pillows were super comfy, and the room was quiet, despite its downtown location. The staff were knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. When they learned it was our anniversary, they brought chocolates and Prosecco to our room, which was a very nice touch! We had trouble getting our television to work, and they came right over to assist. We would definitely recommend, and hope to be back soon. Mystic is a gem, and the Whaler’s Inn is a great home base while you’re in town.

The hotel itself is very nice but beware, if you're on the top floor, no lifts ! Has a restaurant & bar , but like the area itself very expensive ! It is in a great location on the river , and the whole area is lovely. You can find cheaper bars restaurants, like The Friar Tuck, if you have a look around. Only stayed 1 night. Would have liked longer .

Very nice inn...old building but renovated throughout. Very clean comfortable rooms. We had a very large suite, but lots of room choices at different prices. Very convenient to Mystic area attractions. Walk into town easily. Great restaurant on site. Free parking.

Beautiful Inn with spacious rooms, comfy beds and top notch service. This historic structure has been loving restored down to the last detail. The rooms are very clean and the gentleman at the front desk was not only friendly but helpful. Their center of town location makes visiting Mystic and walking the shops a breeze. I can't say enough good things about this hotel, other than I would not hesitate to return!

I had high hopes for this Inn, because the reviews were favorable and I have fond memories of Mystic. On the plus side, It is centrally located, but that also means it has a lot of road noise. Unfortunately, the Inn fell short on many issues. 1. Coffee was free in the lobby, but water was not. 2. Literature says there are electric vehicle plug-ins, but when we arrived, we were told ONLY for Tesla vehicles (this was unusual in our cross country trip). 3. The carpet in our third floor corner room smelled musty and moldy. It was unpleasant to return to at the end of the day and nothing we did seemed to clear the smell. 4. Although the Inn doesn't provide free breakfast, they give a $15/person/night credit for breakfast at the on-site restaurant. We invited my elderly parents to join us. We discussed with the waitress to put the $60 credit on the room and then left enough money for the difference in the check AND a generous tip (25%). When I went to check out, the manager told me I owed more money for breakfast, and I countered by stating I had already left plenty of money for the balance and a very generous tip. He charged me anyway, made no effort to make it right, and when I replied that this would have amounted to 60% tip, his response was that some people are very generous 'tippers'. It was frustrating and not very gracious. Would choose another place to stay next time.

Excellent location, great service and a high quality restaurant on site. Coffee and fresh baked cookies available throughout the day. Comfortable bed - a small bathroom with a single shower (no tub). Rooms equipped with a Keurig, bottled water and a mini fridge. They are right in the middle of the shops and restaurants of Mystic, a 10 min walk to seaport, 10 min to Amtrak and a 5 min drive to Aquarium. There is a sweet playground a block behind the hotel. Lots of rocking chairs and Adirondack chairs to watch the world go by. They provided us with discount tickets to both the Aquarium and Seaport.

I eloped here in April 2024. We stayed in the Morgan suite which was breathtaking, clean and comfortable. The location couldn't be better. The staff was professional and personable. I felt well taken care of. They took care of every little detail. I felt like royalty honestly. Would highly recommend to stay here
