"This is not a good place to stay. Service desk staff lie and aren’t helpful. The room was filthy, food left in the fridge plus it was so loud, microwave had a hole in the door and looked as if someone had blown something up inside, the couch looked as if there was something stained on the cushions, the lamps either needed new bulbs or they were broken and breakfast is a carb fest. I did call to ask about the fridge due to it giving me bad anxiety from the ticking and was told the maintenance would come replace it the next day. The next day I was asked “do you really need a fridge?” I stayed from Friday until Monday. So no fridge or microwave the entire trip. I asked for it to be switched with another room and was told no. I could change rooms but that meant I had to clean the room again which took me 30 minutes upon arrival due to it not being cleaned properly, so I declined that but no type of compensation was offered for this problem either. Breakfast is the typical but never varied: waffles, powdered eggs, biscuits, sausage links, gravy, yogurt, boiled eggs, oatmeal packs, apples, oranges, bagels and bread items. They do have juice and coffee as well. The location is good but there’s a bunch of hotels on that side of town. Not sure how this has a 4.0 after staying."

"If you need a cheap hotel to sleep on a long road trip for one night, this hotel would do. Anything more than that, you will be disappointed. Hotel was somewhat renovated, but mostly cosmetic improvements. Dated hotel that shows its age even with the cosmetic updates. The Good. Beds were good, AC was cool, free coffee was decent. Location is great. Close to shopping and restaurants. Easy to get around town quick with easy access to main roads. Shower was warm even though it was kind of gross. Nice TVs in the room. Ice machine worked great, but you ice buckets had to be requested at front desk. Fridge in room was small but worked great. The Bad. Housekeeping never came on a four day stay. Ran out of toilet paper. Trash was overflowing. Constantly going to front desk for towels. Emptied our own trash several times during the stay. Pool is closed even though the website makes no mention (heat index over 100 during our stay, pool would have been welcomed) Breakfast was not good. No microwave or coffee pot in room. Very apathetic staff. Used towels piled up in the hallway for days that no one came to gather. Our room door wouldn’t automatically close. Needed to be forced shut went you came and went. Elevator worked sporadically (wouldn’t stop on the second floor). Housekeeping in general was below average. Common areas lacked cleanliness. There was debris in both elevators when we checked in that was still there when we checked out four days later. Ceiling tile fell out Our entire group departed early. Alecia at the front desk was helpful and did the best she could under the circumstances. The hotel could be so much better if management invested a little more in their staffing and maintenance. Even leading up to the stay of a large group, hotel was extremely slow to respond to inquiries. For IHG members, there are much better IHG properties in the area. Even for budget shoppers, neighboring properties would probably be better. This was our ‘stay and play’ hotel assignment for an athletic event. Not the worst hotel we’ve been assigned, but we certainly have had a lot better hotels. ‘Stay and play’ event probably keeping this property in business."
