Location is sweet right across the beach. They have staff that sets you up with a bean bag chair and umbrellas. Easy walk into town.

My fiancé and I had the best weekend at Hero Beach Club! The room and property were clean and beautiful. The staff is wonderful and offer you a free welcome drink. It is a comfortable, relaxing, and fun place to stay. My fiancé informed the staff that he was planning on proposing on the beach that this motel overlooks and they did everything and more to accommodate us and make this experience so special. Although it was a foggy and somewhat of a rainy day, Sophie went above and beyond for us by setting up a beautiful picnic for us on the beach. When we returned to our room there were roses, chocolates, champagne and a sign for us. Everything was absolutely perfect. We loved Hero Beach Club and could not recommend it enough - we will be returning!

Overall, The Hero Beach Club is an old motel from the 1960's. It was previously called the Oceanside Motel. We came for a one night stay in May. When we booked, the following nights were already fully booked so we just planned the single night. Interestingly, these other bookings disappeared upon our arrival and the rooms were much, much cheaper than what we had already paid ( $1,102.00 AUD). When we arrived the weather was blisteringly cold with a strong, icy wind. The Manager/Proprietor checked us in. Due to the cold weather, I asked if the USD$97.00 (approx. $160 AUD) resort fee could be waived as we were not using the pool or any other item that the fee covered. There was a discussion and he agreed not to charge it. I told my wife this when we got to the room. We went to dinner locally and went to bed. We left the following day after a tiny breakfast offering located on the premises bar. I was called by my bank about a charge from the Hero Beach Club and rang them to ask whether this and the deposit would be returned to our Mastercard. He had had a change of attitude and insisted that the Resort Fee would still have to be paid and had been charged to my card without my consent or approval. This is an important lesson to be learnt as some Resort Fees can easily be a scam that the Premises inflicts without providing a service. The pool is part of the premises and to have to pay extra is a scam.

I was really pleased when I went out for a work trip , very happy with my stay. Place was amazing, clean, chic and has wonderful accommodations and staff . It also has an amazing pool backyard and is right on the beach, what more could you ask for.

This resort is so special. My best friend and I go every summer to escape the heat and relax in this beautiful place. It’s been 4 years in a row, and we won’t stay anywhere else. The Hero is the only place in Montauk that I think has beachfront access, daily activities, and great service both poolside and at the beach. The beanbag lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach are fabulous, and I find this stretch of beach to be relatively quiet. The aesthetic is clean, modern and minimalist with pretty touches in the design. I spend my mornings on the patio, starting out at the dunes and enjoying the cool ocean breeeze. The staff is welcoming, warm, and responsive.

Our family would surely stay here again. Convenient location, clean and comfortable accomodations. The beds were comfortable. We were very pleased with the hotel. Wish we were in the area a bit longer, but we will definitely be back and would look to stay here again.
