"We booked all 3 rooms for several days for a family wedding in the town. It couldn't have been a better place to stay. Very comfortable beds in beautifully appointed rooms, and the owner, Caroline, being an exceptional host. The food was also delicious, with the lemon curd biscuits going down especially well with my wife. Bridge House was the epitome of rest and calm before & after busy days of wedding preparation and celebration. I cannot recommend it highly enough."

"마을에 있는 친구를 방문하고 Quarrymans Rest에 우리를 예약하게 되어 매우 기뻤습니다. 친절하고 쉬운 책과 넓고 깨끗한 방에 즐겁게 놀랐습니다. 차, 커피, 주전자 및 우유가 제공되는 모든 것과 아름다운 전망. 도착했을 때 파인트를 먹었고 매우 환영하는 현지인과 함께 밖에 앉았습니다. 밤을 보낸 후 돌아와서 안에 앉았습니다. 이전 리뷰에서 언급했듯이 이것은 매우 친절하고 열심히 일하는 집주인이 있는 적절한 펍입니다. 펍 고양이 Denzil도 있습니다. 아침에 우리는 멋진 튀긴 아침 식사를 먹었고 우리가 더 오래 머물 수 있기를 바랐습니다. 확실히 돌아올 것입니다."

"We visited because I'd been given a voucher for a tour and cream tea. We thought at one point we were at Fawlty Towers .. confusing signage about whether or not the property was open, no-one milling around to make enquiries, when we eventually found out where to report to we were greeted with a very brusque attitude and to be informed we were lucky they had decided to open today because they were soooo busy, told to sit in the 'lovely seats' and generally spoken down to - we never discovered what they were busy doing. We felt we were an inconvenience to them. Cream tea was OK, much the same as you'd get from in any supermarket cafe - no choice of scones, seedless jam - mine didn't have any fruity lumps. I was disappointed we were asked if we wanted one or two scones. Didn't realise the state of the milk jug until after we had used some - inside could do with a good scrub so the inside is as white as the outside. We wandered around the castle and gardens - took us 30 mins max - very small. The Chapel was locked so we couldn't look in there. Fortunately we are able to find humour in our experience but we certainly won't be going back or recommend friends visit. We will, however, go back to Fisherman's Cot pub and Bickleigh Mill, both of which are around a mile from this venue, where staff are immensely more hospitable and crockery is clean!"
