I stayed with my husband for 4 nights in June 2025 all inclusive. We arrived around midnight, no welcome drink was offered to us whilst others received champagne. The restaurant food was mediocre. The coffee machine (only available at breakfast) was often broken. All of the food was incorrectly labelled. For example, a pizza label above breakfast items? I have a gluten and dairy intolerance. There was nothing to indicate the ingredients. There is no gluten-free bread. The vegetables were limited and often covered in cheese. So I was limited to salad. At lunchtime, we finished our meal before being offered a drink. We asked for water to take to our room and were told that we would have to purchase it! Pool towels require a 10 euro deposit, even on all-inclusive! Purobeach is a franchise and they reserve half of the sunbeds around the ‘nice pool’ for walk-ins who receive a personal service (they pay 21Euros each for the privilege). We felt like second-class citizens at the pool designated for hotel guests. It was dirty, the sun lounger and parasol were broken, the ladies toilet door didn’t close, and there’s no life guard at this ‘forgotten pool’. The all inclusive cocktails were pre-made and undrinkable. Walk-in guests received a freshly prepared drink in a cocktail glass. On some nights the evening entertainment was held at the Dinky Bar but it doesn’t offer all inclusive drinks - another way to extract money from guests. Checkout is at midday and it was made clear to us that all-inclusive ends! The public toilets and the spa are available to get changed. These are both inadequately small, not private, dirty and smelly. The resort’s shuttle service to Mahon was fully booked throughout our stay. Reception told us the public bus takes card payment. It doesn’t, you need cash! One evening we waited 15 minutes for a receptionist to appear. When I told her we had been waiting ages, she shrugged! This hotel takes your money and then washes their hands of you. Previous reviewers have published similar complaints. The hotel’s impersonal replies say they will fix the problems. They have not done so. Spend your money elsewhere!
