"We are happy to add another positive review to this lovely relaxing hotel right on the beach and with sunrise and moon-rise views (a red moon showed up two nights during our stay). Maya Beach is a 25-minute drive north of the more touristy Placencia town but tour companies will collect you for no extra charge. Our room was compact, with amenities to add comfort, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are kayaks to take out and kid guests seemed thrilled by the pool and sea. We saw shore birds and one early morning 40 floating pelicans!"
