From the moment we arrived at Kalimera Beach Hotel, we were embraced with a warmth and hospitality that left us breathless. The level of attention and personalization we experienced was simply beyond anything we’ve ever known. Walking into our stunning room—modern, spacious, and perfectly comfortable—my girlfriend and I found a beautifully designed welcome brochure. It had our names on it and a full itinerary for the week: handpicked tours, local suggestions, and thoughtful touches that made us feel not just welcomed, but truly known. The location? Absolutely magical. Nestled right on the beach, it feels like a secret paradise. Just steps away, we had countless dining options, all accessible by foot on the soft white sand. And for me, an animal lover at heart, the experience turned surreal when two manatees gracefully swam by, barely 10 meters from shore. It was like watching ballerinas dance in the sea—a memory etched in my soul. What makes this place unforgettable, though, are the people. Kristy and Victor, the incredible owners, pour their hearts into every detail. Julius is a force of nature, always there, always smiling, always helpful. The front desk and kitchen staff were absolute stars—kind, thoughtful, and full of warmth. And the beach bartender? A magician, serving up cocktails that taste like happiness under the sun. Before this trip, I didn’t even know where Belize was on a map. Now, thanks to Kalimera, it’s a place that will forever live in my heart. Cleanliness, peace, generosity, joy—it’s all here. Locally owned. We arrived late and had car issues. They were very supportive with good communication. It is quiet and relaxing. This was a great escape from a fast paced life. There is no need to leave this hotel. Once you arrive, there is no need to rent a golf cart or car. The food was local flavors. Breakfast was exceptional. Lunch was just right. We booked massages and it was the best massage I have ever had in my life! The pool was perfect. Someone raked the beach daily. My kids loved swimming in the sea and jumping the small waves. The sea was too rough to use the kayaks and paddle boards available. There is a beach gym with wooded weights if you have to get a workout in. There are some good retaurants walking distance. But if you want to go to Placencia village, it is a 25 minute drive south. The Placencia village is walkable once you are dropped off. It’s a nice afternoon trip and the hotel can help with transportation. Souvenirs are well priced at the hotel. The design details are 100% at this hotel. The rooms had AC. They thought of everything. This is the first hotel, I have ever stayed at that had a hair diffuser for my beachy wavy hair. This hotel is very peaceful, a great place to disconnect and recharge!

I have travelled a fair amount and am quite confident in saying this is one of the best places I have stayed in. The family who owns it really make their guests experience a priority. The staff are endearing and the location stunning. They have done everything right.

Kalimera Beach Hotel is outstanding in every way: beautifully located with a wonderful beach right outside your door; fantastic and caring staff; excellent food and drink (no dinner availability, but breakfast and lunch options are wonderful); and impeccably clean and well-thought-out rooms and facilities. Our family had a perfect stay, due in large part to the excellence of the hotel and the wonderful vibe created by the outstanding staff. It's clear they are committed to excellence in everything they do. We've stayed at small family-run hotels throughout the US and Europe and Kalimera Beach Hotel is at the very top of our list--really, an excellent hotel.

A beautiful family-run hotel! Tucked away like a hidden treasure, Kalimera offers a relaxed vibe with a pool and the beach just a few steps away. We especially loved having paddle boards, kayaks, and even a Cornhole game available. At the bar, Elvis mixes up creative cocktails, mocktails, or fresh juices just the way you like them. The fusion of Belizean, Mediterranean, and Lebanese flavors is also deliciously unique, and if you get to know the kitchen staff Aracely and Gloria, they might even surprise you with extra Fried Jacks at breakfast. Our room welcomed us with a gentle lemongrass scent and felt spacious, with thoughtful touches like plenty of hangers for wet clothes, an abundance of towels, organic toiletries, and of course an AC and TV. Jessica and Ayla at reception made us feel right at home and offered some great local tips for day tours and activities. Every detail at Kalimera made our stay special and memorable: a perfect blend of relaxation, amazing food, and fun experiences! We can't wait to return to!

Just returned from another incredible stay at Kalimera Beach Hotel with friends, and it was absolutely perfect. Every detail is so well thought through, making for a seamless and relaxing experience. The staff here is exceptional, making sure every moment of our stay was perfect. A special shoutout to Aracely and Gloria in the kitchen, who make the best fry jacks in all of Belize! Every breakfast was a treat, and the snacks they prepared during the day were so delicious! Jessica and Ayla at the front desk were amazing, helping us book unforgettable snorkeling tours and a visit to the ATM cave. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is pure paradise, and leaving is the hardest part. Can’t wait to return!
