"We stayed at this hotel just after Christmas and over the new year period and it was fantastic. The best way to sum this up is a pros and little gripes - however - it certainly wouldn’t put us off booking again!!!! We would love to return. Pro - The hotel is only 40 mins from Innsbruck airport. Perfect for families like ours as we have a child who doesn’t travel very well - The rooms are large and spacious - The resort has so much to do so even if you didn’t ski you wouldn’t be bored - The food is varied and plentiful. They also provided vegan Nutella at breakfast for my children and made them dairy free pizza upon request as my children have allergies. - We enjoyed fabulous service from Oliver and Mira in the restaurant. - Ski lessons via the hotel were excellent - Nicola and Jesse were patient with all 5 of us and we really enjoyed skiing! One of our children has SEN and she had a great time as well. - the Slope is only a 5 min drive away and there is a shuttle viano which takes you and brings you back - New year’s celebrations were brill and having fireworks at 1730 and at midnight meant the children could enjoy some too. - Pony riding was a wonderful experience on NYD! - There is so much to do at the hotel even if you didn’t ski you wouldn’t be bored Little Gripes ! Check in is quick but unlike other family resorts, you do have to take your own bags to your room rather than have someone take them for you. There aren’t any tea or coffee facilities in your room. It would be nice to maybe have something where you could have a coffee in the morning. They do give you water though. You do have a fridge in the room. It would be great to have a telephone in the room to call down to reception with any questions or enquiries. You do have to walk down which is fine - it’s just a nice to have. This maybe down to a language barrier ( I don’t speak German!) but the information that we received from reception was quite basic and it resulted in a few things going a bit wrong. We had never been skiing so had no idea what the protocol was, we explained to the reception staff that we had our first ever lesson and asked what time we needed to be there etc and she advised us to take the shuttle at X time - Which was actually way too late because we needed to get all our boots and skis fitted and it resulted in us nearly missing our private lesson - Which we were able to swap around. Had there been a deeper level of questioning from the reception staff then I believe they would have been able to give us the correct information. The same for when we went horseriding - I said that I wanted to do the hack with my daughter which they booked in for us. When I turned up it was booked in but they booked us in for me to take the horse on my own without an instructor - I assumed the hack which I had seen other children doing was always with an instructor but actually there was two options.
