We had a wonderful time at La Suite. It was a last minute switch from a luxury hotel too far out of town. We were so lucky to have found la Suite. It was a great location just off the pedestrian area, easy to walk anywhere, the Sassi entry points and the many good restaurants in Matera. Particularly handy in the recurrent rain we faced. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants etc. Its a great base in Matera. Only hiccup was a bit slow breakfast on the last day when they didn't have many guests and everyhing had to be pre-ordered and a slight miscommunication on the laundry - it showed up finally. All in all a lovely place.

아름다운 마테라의 아름다운 호텔. 우리는 Palazzo Gattini에서 하룻밤을 머물렀고 2박을 머물렀어야 했습니다(Matera에서 경험할 것이 많습니다/맛을 얻었다고 느꼈습니다). 팀은 정말 사랑스럽고 도움이 되었습니다. 우리 방은 Sassi가 내려다 보이는 테라스가있는 절묘했습니다. 놀라운 도시 내의 멋진 호텔.

A very good location if you have no mobility issues! We had a room overlooking the Matera ”canyon”. The room was however just under the terrace of the restaurant so rather loud although I had specifically asked for a quiet room. Breakfast was good but service rather disorganised. To go to breakfast there is no lift so it could be an issue for somebody with mobility issues. Same to get into the hotel: the hotel is not accessible by car. However the hotel will send you somebody to help you with luggage and also had given us good advise as where and how to access the parking lot. We did not like the restaurant: the music was way too loud, the food mediocre and the prices high. On the whole, I would rate this hotel as a mixed experience and too expensive for what it offers.

The location of the hotel is in the historical part, but outside the area of the ”caves”. The room was fine and clean. But the staff was not very nice. For example, we ordered a small bed for a toddler and it was delivered to the room without a mattress. It took me some time to explain them that the baby can not sleep without mattress and just after that they realized that we need it. Breakfast was simple, to simple for 4*, even 3* hotel.

Livingstone was a great find for our Matera lodging. It's set in the old town, literally 3 min walk from the main square and entrance to Sassi. Room was enough spacious with one double and one single bed which suited three of us. Apartment is modern, specially the bathroom. Our apartment also had a very big terrace with seating sofa, sunbed and a table where we had our dinner. The owner Miriam served a hearty breakfast with freshly prepared omellete, sweet pastries, etc... There're two parking garages in vicinity. Considering the quality/price/location we found it just perfect for exploring Matera.

Due settimane fa abbiamo tenuto un corso di crescita personale e biodanza presso il vostro albergo che definire un gioiellino potrebbe sembrare riduttivo. A ridosso del centro storico ci ha permesso di vedere l'alba nei sassi. Nella graziosa sala attigua alla reception abbiamo svolto il corso teorico guidati dalla coach Antonella Moccia accuditi e coccolati da Sharon e Emily sempre disponibili ad ogni richiesta, e di Eleonora e Rosalba che hanno tenuto in ordine e pulitissime le nostre camere. Sul terrazzo vista cielo ci siamo immersi nelle musiche fantastiche e guidate dal maestro Nando Gozzi abbiamo tenuto le lezioni di biodanza. Esperienza positiva in questo albergo che consigliamo caldamente per quanto descritto e per la mirabile conduzione del direttore Fabio che ha coordinato tutte le nostre esigenze sistemandoci in camere ampie pulitissime e confortevoli con prezzi indubbiamente convenienti. Worst experience in staying in independent accommodation. Left in the rain for 1 hour. Tried 18 calls not answered A very unpleasant man turned up and yelled at us in Italian. We felt very intimidated. When we went out we believe someone entered the room and turned off all lights and heating. Nice room but it’s in an apartment not a hotel like pictures make you believe. Next morning 1/2 hour before check out we returned back and the angry man was waiting for us. Yelling about lights left on. This was a small bathroom light we’d missed when we went for a walk. He virtually threw us out of the hotel. Standing in front of the bedroom window making us very uncomfortable. Very very unpleasant stay.
