"It was a pleasant 2 night stay at Masindi Hotel - the oldest in Uganda and one that has hosted several notable actors in its day. We stayed in the "historic" section, in a room adjacent to the one Hemingway stayed in. It was an older style room without AC however the fan provided was adequate. The bathroom was also rather dated but serviceable, although the tub/shower was very high which made getting into/out of it somewhat problematic. The food was good and quite a few vegetarian choices were available which we were very pleased about. All-in-all a pleasant 2 night stay."

"Management needs to buy a fresh set of mosquito nets. The one in my room was torn. Also, wooden bathroom door needs replacement. It is rotting and doesn't close. Not Impressed! Sockets are popping out of the wall too. Basically, the establishment needs to be taken care of and refurbished."

"great friendly place good food and helpful staff, close to the town and handy for our travels, my room as clean and indeed cleaned every day to a good standard, I had plenty of hot water for my shower and when the electricity failed ( a few times) solar lighting was available and easy to use. I will be back."

"I slept in this hotel twice during my stay in Masindi. The room was very clean, quite big with a balcony, equiped with tv and a fan. The comfortable beds have mosquito net. The staff was so kind and helpful. You can pay by card for your stay. There is a Petal Restaurant next to the hotel when you can eat included breakfast even early in the morning or dinner and lunch. The food was good. Possible one of the best acomodation in Masindi."
