John and Margaret could not have been better hosts. As soon as I pulled up the coach, John was out with his torch to guide me into a parking spot. Then he offered to take me into Derry to get some food if I was hungry. They have a range of different options for guests including a hot tub which I didn't get to experience but as an extra for the guests is quality. Breakfast was wonderful the following day and presentation was perfect. I wouldnr hesitate to recommend this location again and again. One thing unfortunately was the tv didn't want to work for me. Bit of a drawback if you don't have access to the local area by car which means you won't be heading out so maybe somethings like that could be rechecked before guests come in. I also noted when departing, there was brochures from both sides of the border being marketed, ploys like this are always wonderful to see as guests could be coming to the North or leaving so they want to see what options they have either side of the border. Gestures like this are wonderful for all travelling guests. Also having the shower gel/shampoo available in the shower for the guests was a super personal touch. The planning process behind this establishment shows attention to detail is never overlooked. Too class touch.

Very nice B&B outside Londonderry. Good breakfast, very peaceful. Free car parking. The owner was very kind, and the house is a typical Irish countryside one. Just 8 minutes away from the city centre. Keep in touch with Owners in order to plan your arrival time

Slight arrival entrance issue, but sorted within 15 mins, so we were in within the 1/2 hr. Decent sized room and en-suite shower room. Not the most modern or up to date, but everything worked as it should have. Quiet apart from the outside smoking area, and being a warm night, the open windows allowed the conversation, if not the smoke thank goodoness, to enter the room; the guests/smkers, may need a word of wrarning that their conversation content can be heard loud and clear - wasn't a good thing; still it wasn't long lasting. Breakfast was booked the day before and not on a list, just told to us, so th8inking on the spot maybe should have been better with a list and a pencil to do befre bedtime? The vegetarian options, weren't great. Still, did the job for the night at a reasonable price.

We stayed at Groarty House and Manor for two nights in May 2024. John and Margaret are great hosts. The rooms are large with a walk in shower and very comfortable and you get the use of the lounge area. Property is just outside of the city in a lovely quiet area with beautiful grounds. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely place to stay for a few nights. Margaret and John so accommodating. Margarets breakfast and service of guests is A*. Would recommend and would stay again for sure. ＜3 Lovely rural location despite being close to city. Thanks for a nice stay guys!

We stopped here with family and the place is brilliant . If you stop in Derry there isn't a lot to do in the city and seems rundown in certain areas . Some museums and churches to visit but mainly the places to see are on the coast and you need a car . Plenty of car parking space at Groarty House . Avis and Hertz rent cars out at the airport which is about seven miles from the city and a couple more miles to Groarty House . It will save you taxi money from the airport + you are able to visit places . The hotel is warm and very comfortable with a lounge you can use . Breakfast is cereal and a cooked breakfast - very filling . The rooms are large and have a walk in shower - no complaints there . A lovely place to stay . If you dine out there is Link 48 and Caterina's which are good + The Cosh Bar which is near . I would definitely stop here again as it is a great base to set off from - parking in town - easy - not expensive . The couple who run the place are really friendly and if you need help with visiting/restaurants they will help you - get it booked and hire a car and you will have a great little break and see a lot of Ireland .
