I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

시나몬 시티 라이프 호텔에 묵었는데 정말 멋진 경험이었습니다. 직원들은 친절하고 도움이 되었고, 음식은 맛있었고, 전망도 정말 환상적이었습니다. 숙박에 관한 모든 것이 완벽했습니다. 이 도시를 방문하는 모든 분께 이 호텔을 강력 추천합니다.

우리는 세 번 머물렀고 좋은 경험이었습니다. 매우 도움이 되는 직원과 훌륭한 현지 아침 식사. 수영장은 깨끗하고 환경이 좋으며 전망이 뛰어납니다.

이곳에서의 숙박은 좋았습니다. 직원들이 친절하고 서비스도 효율적이었습니다. 갈레 페이스 쇼핑몰과 항구 도시와 가까워서 위치가 아주 좋았습니다. 이동도 매우 편리했습니다. 점심 뷔페도 마음에 들었는데, 스리랑카 음식이 꽤 괜찮았습니다.

매우 늦게 도착했지만 여전히 환영받았습니다. D 저와 제 막내를 위해 무알콜 신선 주스를 제공했습니다. 늦은 시간에도 매우 친절하게 대응해 주신 조식은 뷔페식이었습니다. 기타 서유럽 요리와 스리랑카 전통 요리가 제공되었고, 그래도 무엇이든 주문할 수 있었습니다. 제 딸은 서양식 계란을 토스트에 얹어 튀긴 것을 원했고, 바로 앞에서 깼습니다. 객실에서 보이는 전망은 정말 훌륭했습니다. 바위에 부딪히는 바닷소리가 들렸습니다. 다만 더 오래 머물 수 있었으면 좋았을 뿐입니다. 정말 좋은 사람들이 있는 곳이었고 서비스는 예외적이었습니다. 당신. Amazing location and friendly staff and clean rooms. Will be a added bonus if we can have Jaffna food Available all day from lunch time till midnight. Great experianca. Well done
