Well placed hotel very close to central square. Polite friendly staff. Warm comfortable bedroom . No mirror at dressing table which would be nice for getting ready to go out. Trips tend to be very early starts so I wouldn't have booked breakfast knowing this but they are very good with a good choice and the restaurant is very nice with some nice touches.

This excellent hotel is located in a prime location. It is next to the main theater of Krakow. There is excellent open air park next to hotel. Plenty of public transportation is available a walking distance away. The central train station is a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is located in the old town or Stare Miasto of Krakow. You can cover the old town in a 30 minute. Lots of restaurants, tours, bars, clubs blocks away. Pretty safe neighborhood. The hotel itself is a converted historical building with a lot of character. The rooms were decent sized. Good bedding. Small bathroom with a shower. Heating was sufficient for November. Friend staff and reception. The hotel has a nice classy restaurant in the bottom floor.

Looking for a well priced but luxury hotel? The garamonde is an amazing hotel with a lovely atmosphere and great rooms. Located less than 5 minutes away from Krakow old Town square far enough away for a quiet night whilst close enough to travel anywhere within the city with great ease. The knowledgeable and friendly staff such as Sabina and rudeh who gave me great advice as a solo traveller in a new city. Well priced and with beds fit for royalty this wonderful hotel and it's staff certainly make this a hotel worth staying at. Although I dined out most of the time I was there I did see the restaurant and bar area which served very delicious looking food which apon my next visit I intend to try!

The staff were incredibly unhelpful. The front desk had a shift change and made us check in twice. The room service was brought with no utensils, napkins or sugar/cream for our tea. The room was never cleaned when we returned back to the hotel. We arrived at 2:30 and checking was at 3pm. They room wasn't clean. We went on a tour with a 6:30am pick up and returned at 5pm and our room wasn't clean. The hotel isn't that big. I expected more from the reviews, I was greatly disappointed. I would not recommend based on my experience.

Knowing nothing about Krakow, I was attracted by the name (I am a typesetter). The location was ideal for me... Krakow Old Town and a short walk to the center of the main square. They even offered parking! Upon arrival, I could not have been happier. It is a relatively small, new, atmospheric (mid-war vibe) hotel. Every staff member was polite and attentive. The room was well-appointed. The bathroom was magnificent. The breakfasts were incredible. We are returning in December. I can't wait!
