Stayed @ this lovely place from 24 to 28 Nov. Enjoy my sojourn and wished to extend my appreciation to the hotel staff for their warm hospitality, especially to Tiri who had endeavored to help me & my friend secure a last minute booking with a tour agency for a day tour to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park. Even though she did not managed to secure a booking for us with the tour agency, we really appreciate her valiant effort. The room was nice, more or less similar to what you see in the posted pictures. The view from the balcony was excellent too, as you can see from my video. I love the part where they placed a resting couch at the balcony, which is apt for just lazing & enjoying the seaview across. & not forgetting the very inviting infinity pool with the marvelous view across the sea. Definitely a instagram-able spot. The housekeeping was prompt & the room was very well kept thru out my stay. The restaurant was good as well, I enjoyed the breakfast which was quality & quite a spread for me. Price was quite reasonable too, in my opinion. Alright asides from the niceties, there're a few things which I think is worth pointing out. 1) There aren't any elevator in the hotel, so the stairs are the only option. I would advise checking in early before evening, when the reception will be able to arrange for a staff to bring your luggage up to your room. Else, u're gonna have bring it up yourself. 2) The place is relatively remote & far from the other hotspots in Samui like Chaweng or Lamai. 1 way to Chaweng will prob take around 35 -45 mins depending on traffic. However, there are plenty of shops & outlets nearby for dinning, massage or to simply grab some groceries or necessities. You really gotta chk out the nearby Bang Por Beach, which is a quiet idyllic beach with an lovely view of the opposite island Ko Pha Ngan. Oh yeah, I fly my drone there too, & the view is awesome too. I would seriously recommend renting a motorbike or car to get around. Else, u can try exercising those limps by walking up & down the hill (The hotel is perched on top of a hill, thus the excellent vantage pt). Regardless, I think this hotel is a great place for couples & families looking a quiet idyllic spot, away from the hustle & bustle or the furor of commercial tourism. I would really consider coming back again in my future trip back to Samui...

안녕하세요. 태국에서 묵었던 호텔 중 가장 좋았습니다. 직원들의 친절도와 청결도가 매우 좋았습니다. 객실은 매일 청소됩니다. 헤어캡, 비누, 화장지, 커피가 보충됩니다. 객실에는 주전자도 있었습니다. 항상 뜨거운 물이 있습니다. 방은 매우 좋습니다. 좌석 공간은 쾌적합니다. 한마디로 훌륭한 호텔입니다. 위치는 시내 중심에서 멀리 떨어져 있습니다. 해변과 가까워 항상 나무 아래 그늘을 찾을 수 있습니다. 호텔은 오토바이 대여 및 세탁 서비스도 제공합니다.

I nearly changed my holiday because of the negative reviews that i read here, however i was so pleased i didn't and went with my gut instinct. I have just returned from the most wonderful relaxing holiday at the Mai Samui beach resort. The hotel has been built in a traditional Thai style, on a quiet peninsular of Samui. So if you are looking for a glossy high rise concrete soulless block with entertainment and plenty of bars surrounding you, then this is not the place for you. There are a few local restaurants and a coffee shop only a few minutes walk away. With lively Bophut, with the Fisherman's market and Nathon are only a short taxi ride away (or free bus from hotel every day). The hotel has a variety of rooms to stay in, a couple of restaurants and a great beach bar with an extensive cocktail menu. The staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently having a few renovations but so has everyone else. Hotels and bars across the world have all suffered being locked down for several years due to Covid 19, and have only just re-opened, so yes they all need to do a bit of catch up. The renovations did not impact us in any way, and did not spoil our holiday one bit. I chose not to do all inclusive and opted for breakfast only. There was plenty of choice every morning. The egg chef was always busy with everyone's individual orders. One very small negative is the lack gluten free options or milk alternatives, but we worked around it. The beach is not your usual tropical lounging sandy spot. This is a very shallow tidal bay with some rocks and corals. It is great for a low tide walk, but not swimming. To make up for this the hotel has a couple of large well thought out swimming pools. and there is a raised sandy area to the front of the beach with plenty of sunbeds and chairs to lounge on. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quite resort but with easy access to livelier towns. If i have the chance i would definitely come back again. The hotel is located directly on the beach on a beautiful location.The breakfast is delicious. The rooms are clean and comfortable . We will come back for sure

1. 호텔은 차웽 해변에서 차로 약 10분 거리에 위치해 있으며 매일 오후 4시에 차웽 해변까지 셔틀만 운행하며 좌석이 제한되어 있으며 그 외 시간에는 호텔에서 택시만 부를 수 있습니다. 1회 탑승에 250바트입니다. 2. 호텔 시설이 비교적 낡았으며 에어컨 소리가 너무 크고 덜거덕거리고 방에 🕷️거미줄이 있습니다. 3. 호텔 직원의 전반적인 환대에 대한 개선이 필요하며, 서비스와 의사소통의 전문성이 상대적으로 부족합니다. 4. 호텔에서 나갈 때 실제로 호텔 로비 소파에서 상의를 벗은 채 자고 있는 사람이 있었습니다. 선풍기는 독점적이고 호텔 측의 누구도 개입하지 않았습니다. 이는 경치에 나빴습니다. 5인실에 앉은 경험 성급 호텔은 더 나쁩니다.

우리는 해변가 풀빌라에서 4박을 했습니다. 씨트립이 호텔과의 소통을 도와주는 서비스에 더 만족하고 시기적절합니다.씨트립도 최선을 다해 체크아웃을 1시간 늦추고 100위안 현금 쿠폰을 보조해 주었지만 여전히 원합니다. to comment 중국인 관광객을 대하는 센타라 호텔의 태도를 보자면 정말 친절하지 않습니다. 반영: 체크인 당일 비행기가 일찍 도착했고, 조금 더 일찍 체크인할 수 있는지 호텔과 소통했지만 차갑게 거절당했고, 저녁은 호텔 비치 레스토랑에서 먹었고, 갑자기 유리잔이 터져 웨이터가 바로 치웠지만 아무도 말을 하지 않았다. 우리는 사과했다. 그들은 감시를 조정할 수 있습니다. 감시 카메라는 웨이터가 우리에게 말하는 것을 들을 수 있습니까?); 체크인할 때 우리는 늦은 체크아웃을 요청하고 저녁 식사 후에 돌아왔습니다. 방은 요구를 충족시킬 수 없다는 편지를 받았습니다. , 하지만 다음날 방 예약 상황을 확인해보니 분명히 빈방이 많으신데 500위안 이상의 조식, 반 셀프 서비스, 약간의 메뉴, 우리가 착석한 시간부터 금식 식사 후 자리에 앉은 모든 외국인이 자리에 앉자마자 메뉴판이 있는 걸 보고 웨이터에게 ”왜 우리는 메뉴판이 없지?” 조식부페는 통째로 나와요 조식먹는 내내 주변 테이블들이 수거를 반복했는데 우리 테이블은 항상 무시하더군요 가족들은 ”일거수일투족을 쳐다보며 , 그들의 눈에 표정, 그리고 서비스를 비교하면 나쁘지 않습니다. ”심심합니다.” 암튼 이 호텔의 서비스는 중국인 관광객에게 정말 친절하지 않습니다. 우리 가족의 영어는 나쁘지 않습니다😂 그냥 그뿐입니다. 중국인 얼굴 보면 별로 안좋아할지도 몰라🤣 뒤에 친구들은 잘 고르는데 왜 돈을 쓰냐 돈이 싫다😂

I read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself. We tried every item on the breakfast menu and all were nicely done and tasty. Very good coffee and tea made to order i
