'What a little gem of a place. First time visit, travelling on my own for business. Perfect location for me.
Beautiful room, very clean, warm and comfortable with plenty of towels and pillows. Big TV, easy to navigate remote!
Bathroom was spotless, nice complimentary toiletries.
Comfy bed, had a good sleep once I managed to get off, could hear other guests on the corridor, but I guess I was earlier settling in than the average on a Sunday evening (early to work Monday!)
Breakfast was really good quality, fair selection of hot and cold options, lots of fresh fruit on offer too. Very impressed, bit disappointed I arrived later on the Sunday evening and decided not to have an evening meal now!'

Gardeners Cottage has comfort and character and is an ideal base for visiting this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. Set in the grounds of the owners home Gardeners Cottage features an open plan living area, well equipped kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom. The private garden has a table and chairs to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun. Parking is available in the adjacent car port. The tranquil village of Staveley has its own great pub serving wonderful home cooked food, a Church and a nature reserve with hundreds of different species of wildlife and plants. This is an excellent base for walkers, cyclists, and those who simply want to relax and unwind. The ancient market town of Knaresborough is a 5 minute drive away, a great place to enjoy river walks and visit Old Mother Shipton's cave and petrifying well. The beautiful Spa town of Harrogate is 7 miles away and offers a varied day out - glorious gardens, the world famous Betty's tea rooms, the magnificent Turkish Baths and excellent shopping. The World Heritage site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal are a 30 minute drive away. The owners are on hand to offer advice and local knowledge, having both lived in the area all our lives. 'We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting the local area. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with lovely facilities. Excellent breakfast and service. Would recommend to others and will use again.'

'Conflicting information and advice.
Told car parking chargers was included in booking tariff but no so upon check-in.
When requested time of expiry of parking period was given two separate and different times.
Upon checking out and waiting for a taxi the lounge bar was not staffed for then time of waiting approximately 30 minutes for the purchase of a coffee.
The room was ok not the standard well expected as nd the floor appeared to be unstable resulting in creaking to such an extent as to not being able to move about whilst my partner was sleeping.
We found the check-in. Staff not particularly helpful and unwelcoming.'
