Numerous stays with dozens of travelers and every visit is magical! Owner/chef Domenico and his lovely wife Gertrude are the perfect hosts at their small, cozy Kiwengwa Bungalow Boutique Resort. With only 14 bungalows situated amid the lush grounds surrounding the central pool and dining pavilion, the overall feeling is comfortably intimate. Bungalows are clean, comfortable and modestly furnished. Domenico is everywhere every day carefully attending to every aspect of the resort. And his wonderful staff lead by Shaney and Nganeli oversee even the smallest detail of your stay. And the food! Every meal, whether you eat in the main dining pavilion or down at the new Beach Bar, is memorable. Domenico does it all masterfully - pasta, seafood, poultry, salads, meats, desserts! Meals are an absolute highlight of every visit! Kiwengwa Bungalow Boutique Resort - year after year is my favorite island retreat!

I was there with my daughter, this was best choice to stay!!! Highly recommended to stay in this resort, it is beautiful and relaxing place, very kind and friendly staff and best food from best chef !!! If you go to Zanzibar, I recommend to go to eat to KBB resort. Room was absolutely perfect, fully equipped. Owner/chef gave us good tips for trips. a taste of paradise : white sand, coconut trees combined with friendly Italian hosts and outstanding food - the place to be to relax and enjoy Zanzibar. Small but nice and cosy pool. Well designed and typical bungalow rooms. Very good cocktails and surprising and excellent breakfasts.

We stayed here for a week in Feb 2023 and had a great time. The room was a small bungalow with a double bed and then a separate area with two single beds for the kids. Pool was brilliant, perfect size. Breakfast was amazing, fruit, doughnuts, toast and eggs/pancakes. Domenico the owner is also the chef, his food was amazing. Decent sized menu so we had plenty to choose from. Our favourite was the red snapper that he had one night. No kids menu but some of the meals come in small portions, Domenico was also really accommodating at making things for the kids. Generally we would go with 3 meals between the four of us and this was plenty of food. The beach is a small walk away, probably 1-2 minutes with sun loungers for the hotel. Lots of restaurants in area but I would say the best food we ate was here (apart from one trip to nungwi where we also had a great meal). I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this hotel, all the staff were amazing and brilliant with my boys. Thank you and hopefully see you again

Everything was excellent, the resort, the room, the girls that work there and the chef who's also the owner. The food was incredible and a lot :) Domenico is an excellent person who puts pasion in everything that he does. I really enjoy my week in there. The staff is really nice and pleasant. The food is excellent ! Rooms are clean. There is a nice pool and the environment is peaceful and close to the beach . Thank you so much !

We had a fantastic stay here. Sea view Rooms were clean, aircon worked great, pool crystal clear, the restaurant food delicious. Staff are friendly and always helpful. The breakfasts are amazing and very fast service!! Thanks to Dominico the chef and owner for making deliciously cooked seafood for our final dinner!

Ambiente familiare, giardino curato, discreto il ristorante a prezzi onesti. A poche decine di metri la spiaggia, peccato per le tonnellate di alghe che quasi impedivano l’ingresso in acqua. I bungalow sono malandati, bagni vecchi, pochissima luce naturale all’interno. Inadeguato il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Nous avons passé trois jours dans ce super hôtel au calme composé de plusieurs maison paillote autour d'une belle piscine et d'un jardin exotique très bien entretenu. Notre chambre était très fonctionnelle avec un bel espace et une terrasse aménagée.Chaque jour notre lit était refait avec une petite attention ( fleurs, dessin avec les draps de lit....) Maria et Domineco avec tout leur personnel sont au petit soin et d'une grande gentillesse. Nous nous sommes régalés avec les poissons chaque soir et les copieux petits déjeuners. Les repas peuvent être pris près de la piscine ou au bord de la plage. Les cocktails de fruits frais sont délicieux et servis avec des petites acras et chips maison . Des bains de soleil abrités sont disponible sur la plage. Nous ne savons pas si le paradis existe mais ce lieux y ressemble. Encore merci! Valérie et Emmanuel
