"The villa is good seem have done a little do up. Parking free & easy right on our bungalow. We would like to bring to villa attention is hope they can provide more plate & cutlery, the bungalow stay 2 person but inside only have one chair 😅 We found a few issue & have feedback to reception such as there are nails have came out from the front deck it is a bit dangerous & might hurt, secondly kettle is not working well & thirdly we asked for extra 2 pillow given but no pillow case 😅 Hope can look into this & improved. Thank you"

"Looking for a getaway in a classy (or rather classic) castle/mansion fashion? Well, Västanå lives up to many expectations and surely provides for a "mansion stay". A tad worn down here and there - but that's ok and also understandable. Many old properties like Västanå survives thanks to remodelling in various degrees turning them into conference/hotel/restaurant. All do not live up to higher standards, but Västanå manages to keep their head above the water. It is also possible to actually stay in the mansion house itself. Which is probably what you want to get the castle feeling. Contrary to many competitors where there in fact are no rooms in the main building (other than public areas, restaurant etc). However, in the booking process you need to check where your room is located. Otherwise you may end up in one of the wings - which are quite fine also. The basic classification should be some three stars - which is correct. It's not of a five star hotel in standard, but still possess "castle elegance" in many ways. Staff is kind and attentive. Both in the reception and in the restaurant (reviewed separately). And the cooking is well above average for this type of establishment. Rooms are filled with individual furnishings, but amenities are very basic: no fancy sets of branded luxury shampoos and sewing kits etc. Beds are ok, a bit on the firm side. No fridge. No AC (not possible in an old house). No TV. Wifi available - a little weak in my room, but working. Breakfast was slightly disappointing: basic and without any warm dishes (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage etc). Possibly the sparse presentation could be considered compensated by the beautiful rooms where the breakfast is served. On the whole it is a sort of quite lovely getaway. Rural and as much "off" as such a place should be. However, it is very near the busy highway and the sound from the traffic is indeed present. In any case: we liked it!"

"A beautiful old ex medieval Manor House in the Swedish Countryside South of Jonköping. Our dining room experience was second to non. We opted for the preselected wine packet with each course, and this turned out to be very wise. The Maitre D was very perceptive and delegated a charming young Frenchman to be our waiter by the name of Mathieu. Mathieu hailed from La Rochelle, which has a very strong Rugby tradition, so we also had plenty to discuss over Wales forthcoming game against Australia and of course he spoke excellent English. We did eventually get around to the fine dining, much to to my wife's relief and Mathieu steered us skillfully through the menus and wine selection. After dinner we took our coffee and cognacs in the Royal Roo which had excellent paintings of Sweden's Kings down through the ages. Mathieu was quick to point out that he was part of the Royal Banquet team of waiters for Sweden's King Carl XV1 Gustaf and Queen Silvia's recent visit to Strasbourg. Our bedroom was very cozy and well appointed. With elevators serving all floors. There was an excellent Gold course and drivng range nearby, in house spa and swimming pool, we also noticed a Padel tennis court. We rate our experience as 5 Star. Joseph Ans Kia Sharps. "
