This is a 2-story home (1 queen bedroom downstairs, 1 queen & 1 king upstairs) with bamboo floors and tile in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Welcome to Treetop House Brevard, a beautiful 5 bedroom, 3.5-bath mountain house, 2448 square feet, with THREE master bedrooms and a beautiful mountain view with epic sunsets! Each master bedroom has an "en suite" bathroom, a California King bed (new in 2021), and a private outdoor covered balcony. There are also two open decks and a large screened porch, all with mountain views. The view is entirely woods and mountains, with hardly any houses visible -- it looks almost as if you are looking over thousands of undeveloped mountain acres.Summer view is lovely but partially hidden by trees.No more than 7 adults please. No events allowed. All guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peaceful environment in this mountain retreat.We purchased and furnished this house in 2021 and it is in great shape -- most furniture is new, including all beds. We also have new water heater, AC/heat pump/furnace, fridge, dishwasher, stove, washer/dryer, television, ceiling fans, bedroom lighting, gas grill, kitchenware, etc.The house has high-speed wireless internet in every room.Our driveway is flat, but there are some hills as you drive through the neighborhood. All roads are well-maintained asphalt roads, and the hilly sections are not too steep.Treetop House Brevard is in Connestee Falls (https://connesteefalls.com), a 3900 acre gated mountain community. The clubhouse is a 10-15 minute walk (you can also drive with plenty of parking). Your entire group will have access to neighborhood amenities including the private lakes, parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming pool, tennis courts, etc (I only charge you $50, but I am required to pay a $175 neighborhood fee for each rental group). The clubhouse has two restaurants and a bar, in addition to a library, a wellness center (828-885-2741, currently $15/day or $50/month) and an 18-hole golf course (828-885-2005, currently $30 for 9 holes, $50 for 18 holes). There is live music most weekends. You will receive both paper and online maps for the 20 miles of private hiking trails and impressive waterfalls through the 3,900 acre community.In addition, Treetop House is a 13-minute drive to the nearest parking lot and trailhead in Dupont State Recreational Forest, with 10,000 acres of hiking and biking. The screened porch is cantilevered under the main level deck to take advantage of the way the cabin is perched on the slope, accessible by an outside stairs to the lower level, with same South-facing 180 degree view as the deck above -especially nice in the fall or when the trees are bare. It is a screened porch, meaning all big openings in the photos are screens, not glass windows, enabling you to still feel very connected to nature. Depending on one's comfort level and favorite seasons, we have plenty of cozy blankets and wraps for cooler months, and two ceiling fans in the screened porch for warmer months.The cabin decor is "modern rustic" - comfortable, and well-appointed with central air/heat, two bedrooms, two full baths, washer & dryer, brand new GE appliances (fridge, stove & dishwasher). The kitchen is stocked with ample dishes & cookware, and Keurig coffee maker stocked with a supply of coffee and hot chocolate. Downstairs furnishings include a locally hand-crafted solid pine kitchen island & seven foot poplar farm table (perfect for holiday gatherings), comfortable leather furniture and a cozy propane free-standing corner fireplace. Upstairs in the loft, guests enjoy a spacious sectional sofa, a 50” TV with Streaming AT&T TV and Apple TV, board games, and a comfy recliner in the cozy reading nook.The master bedroom features an elevated queen size bed, ceiling fan, updated spa-like master bath with large sunken shower, natural stone tile, vaulted ceiling & white washed ship lap. The second bedroom has a full size bed, ceiling fan and closet. The 2nd full bathroom has a tub/shower and pedestal sink. Two couches + a cot provide additional sleeping arrangements if needed.The cabin is equipped with central air and heat. It also includes Wifi with Direct TV Stream & Apple TV (we have it all tricked out, but can't control the temperamental satellite signals here in the mountains). :-)And while we love our furry friends, in consideration for our guests w/ allergies, we do NOT allow pets.
