There is a long term tenant in the ADU downstairs & a family lives next door. Any violation of this will be an immediate eviction & fine. ✔ Pets: one well-behaved, well socialized pet is welcome at the Prohibition Hideaway with an additional $25 pet fee. Pets must never be left unattended in the home at any time, whether or not in a kennel crate, without first checking with the host and getting approval. Pets must be under direct supervision if outside. The yard is not entirely fenced in. Guests are required to clean up after their pets on the property and the surrounding area. Master Bed and Bathroom Suite that is a 10 minute walk to the center of Historic Downtown Nevada City. Private separate entrance and off street parking. Secluded deck overlooking a wooded setting and seasonal creek. Amenities include- refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, television and Wi- Fi. Queen size bed. The house was originally built in 1898 and was completely remodeled about 20 years ago. This bedroom and bathroom suite is in the back of our house. You walk down 15 steps and through a gate on the side of the house and then up 5 more steps to get to the deck in front of the room. Highway 49 is not too far behind our house so you will hear highway noise. It gets very quiet at night. To the left of the deck we have a bird aviary. The room has its own separate heater, air conditioner and fan that you control with a remote control. It’s a mini split system that hangs on the wall….installed new in August 2024.Our driveway has a downward slope to it. The majority of our guests have no trouble navigating up and down it but if you have a large vehicle you need to be comfortable about backing up the sloping driveway because there may not be enough room to turn around before you go up the driveway. It is an option to park up on the street. Please no early check in or late check out. Proper cleaning between guests takes time😀. There’s a walk along the old Rough and Ready ditch, a woodsy foray downslope from the ditch, remnants of the Providence Mine, and an easy connection by foot or bicycle to Nevada City.Guest accessThe cottage is conveniently located on a quiet street with separate driveway. The front door is opened using a unique access code that will be provided to you the day of arrival. The cottage is nestled in natural, non-manicured, outdoor surroundings with a private gravel driveway and off-street parking.
