If you look closely outside the home above the main door area, you will still see an exposed beam that has the original stamp from Kokkola, Finland and Bothniahouse. As winds go NE to SE, you can launch directly across the street on the Ocean side. The house includes a ground floor enclosed ‘man cave’ plus a storage room for equipment. There are equipment racks outside for drying and inside to lock up at night. A half bath and two showers are outside under the house, in addition to a cleaning station with a utility sink and hose. We can clean up our gear so that it is ready the next day. Rigging, launching, and storing your gear is a breeze at the Frequent Flyer. The ‘man cave’ also has a small bar, and a fridge which adds to the convenience factor. This house really caters to those who want access to the Sound and Ocean for watersports. When the wind is not blowing, the Frequent Flyer still delivers with 6 bikes for cruising the island, 3 kayaks, and 2 stand up paddleboards. And of course, no trip to Hatteras Island is complete without a visit to the local surf shops. Fortunately, Real Watersports, Kitty Hawk Kites, and other shops are all within a few miles.The Frequent Flyer from a Fishing PerspectiveWhy settle for the Ocean or Sound when you can have them both! The Frequent Flyer is located on a very narrow segment of the island providing access to both Ocean and Sound fishing. A deluxe, outdoor fish-cleaning table makes prep a breeze. Bring your casting net as bait can easily be caught along the shore of the Sound.
