I came on a business trip and choose a bigger room 193 sq meter. I was given Room 10 which was really good. Big, modern and very clean. Wifi worked great and also good parking availability. Nick and Margaret were helpful and very welcoming. They kindly stored my food in their fridge and froze my ice packs for me. I fully recommend this place and look forward to staying here again.

This is a hidden gem and the best bed and breakfast in ilfracombe bar none. Fantastic location away from all the noise, and the breakfast is to die for. And I know it's hardly worth bring up but the new bed in the single room that they recently bought Best Nights Sleep i had in ages.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cairn house Ilfracombe , Margaret my host was very pleasant and helpful . My room was very comfortable , well decorated , light bright and airy . Tea and coffee making facilities in room plus TV , fan , hairdryer etc . The dining area was similarly bright clean and well decorated , an excellent choice of breakfast options . A perfect stay .

This is a lovely property that about 15 minute walk into the centre of town. The breakfast was excellent, the room was well equipped and airy, the bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely. Would recommend a stay here.

If you’re looking for a stay in this beautiful part of the country then I highly recommend Cairn House. Spotlessly clean, everything you need in room, plus a very comfortable bed, with an excellent breakfast. Margaret &Nick made us very welcome. Due to mobility issues the opportunity of a ground floor room was the icing on the cake.

Cairn House was a really lovely place to stay in Ilfracombe. We had a couple of nights here and the highlights were the breakfasts, free parking, and the friendliness and warmth of the owners. I’d highly recommend Cairn House. LOCATION: Cairn House was an excellent base for accessing the South West Coastal Path and for exploring surrounding areas like Woolacombe. Ilfracombe itself is a large enough seaside resort town that there is quite a bit to do and see here and plenty of choices of restaurants and shops (although disappointingly, the Tunnels Beaches were closed due to rockfalls when we were there). It was an easy walk into the town centre and harbour but it took about 20 - 25 minutes. ROOM & FACILITIES: We had a large room, with tea and coffee making facilities, a couple of comfy lounge chairs and a small coffee table, a desk and a bay window. We were very comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was included and was served each morning in a lovely sunny dining room. This was a delightful start to the day. We had porridge and toast, followed by a full English each morning and we really enjoyed sitting over breakfast, planning the day ahead. PARKING: There is a free, on-site carpark which was a huge plus for us.

Easy to find and great parking. This home from home house with the extremely friendly hosts. The room was lovely and the breakfast was great.
