"Quite a basic hotel. We chose based on location and for that it was perfect. In the heart of the main square, walking distance to bars and restaurants and the Menin Gate. Breakfast was ok (bacon, eggs and continental) and beds comfortable. Sounds a bit picky but there’s a weird unpleasant smell and mentioning here, so the management might change it as I think it’s from the cleaning which is done. Wouldn’t stay again as it is a bit too basic."

"Had a two night stay here at the end of August. Lovely refurbished hotel right on the square with plenty of bars and restaurants in the doorstep. Room was lovely, very clean and modern with AC and a great en-suite. Great breakfast in the Breakfast room downstairs. Lift to all floors. Really quiet with comfortable beds. Hotel is opposite the grand Cloth Hall which hosts the Flanders Field museum which is a must if you visit. A short walk to the Menin Gate. No restaurant at the hotel but there is an afternoon cafe. No bar or place to sit downstairs but all the bars you could want are on the square. Can highly recommend this hotel and Ypres itself, lovely atmospheric place."

"There are many negatives here that have been highlighted by previous travellers and yet no attempt to fix by the owner. The internet wifi is unusable. It takes nearly 5 minutes to download a search for local restaurants or 3 minutes to download a simple email from gmail. You need your own data plan. The price of breakfast is ridiculous at EUR 20 which defeats the point of a “BnB”. There is a trip hazard when you walk in the door. I rolled my ankle on the gap in the entrance foyer . The street noise is unbearable until 11pm as the property is located on a main road that has cobble stones. Our room was not serviced during our stay, which makes you feel like it is a basic Airbnb apartment, not the boutique hotel as advertised on their website. The location is good and parking is close , but communication with the owner is poor and I would recommend a local hotel rather than returning here."
