"Shepheard's hut was nice and warm and clean. It's by the river and you can go straight on to beautiful walks nearby."

"We have been here on two occasions and haven't been impressed. The pub itself is beautiful , very airy well decorated and in a great location. The gardens and well kept and lovely to sit outside. The atmosphere from the staff is very different they dont talk to each other , they are very buisness like and dont make you feel very welcome. It doesn't feel very relaxed. I felt it catered more for the affluent crowd rather than a traditional pub in the peak district that has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere"

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was any trouble. The food was excellent along with the atmosphere. Would definitely stay again."
