Wild Culture Yala

This is a great, new, small hotel-it has I believe only 8 rooms- and is an excellent base for a visit to the National Park. The room was large and comfortable and the staff friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is absolutely superb, locally produced and far better than the international buffet which is served at the larger hotels. The post safari breakfast was terrific and enormous. The pool is also a great asset. Highly recommended- I wish all connected with the hotel the very best for the future.

What an amazing small boutique safari lodge. We had a suite room which was large and beautifully furnished with all amenities. Swam daily in the pool which is very large and surrounded by an assortment of loungers. Upul looked after us in an outstanding way and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. He even prepared some chilli paste for us to take home as he knew we liked spice. We had two days of safari with Camp Leopard and had great sightings including two leopards and a rock python. Definitely our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka and highly recommend visiting.

Another fantastic hotel. We had an enormous room with a very comfy bed. The pool is a really good size and bar area very comfortable. Attention to detail was great, they even gave us a basket of snacks and bottled water to take on safari with us. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Although it’s probably a little bit further out of Yala national park than some hotels it’s worth the extra 15mins of travel time. We would highly recommend this peaceful and pristine hotel.

A beautiful hotel within a stunning setting. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Sri Lanka and This hotel is certainly the best for the charming, funny and genuinely lovely staff. Very close to Yala national park. Huge rooms clean as a whistle.

Peaceful, beautiful scenic views over rice paddy fields. Close proximity to Yala National Park and safari tours. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Suresh and his colleagues assisted us with all our enquiries and needs from the moment we arrived until we left. Rooms are very clean and spacious, comfy beds and quiet private areas to relax and unwind. A La Carte restaurant meals are delicious! Highly recommend a stay when in Sri Lanka..

We left Wild Culture hotel this morning and were absolutely blown away by this hidden gem. Located 20 mins drive from the Yala safari, we found our Sri Lankan paradise! The setting is just breathtaking overlooking a rice paddy field. Only 8 rooms - our rooms 1 and 2 were like giant suites, fitted out with the most beautiful, modern decor and high spec fittings. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful pool area with beds, loungers, bar area and dining area where we were served our own private dinner. Food was great… we were staying half board.. you pick from a menu in afternoon for dinner ( lots of choices - fresh fish, meats, lots of vegetarian choices and kids menu) and agree a time and they serve you in the open air .. feels like a private dinner party. We loved the tuna, salmon and pad Thai. Gorgeous desserts too. Breakfast similar arrangement- you pick the night before. Even thoughtful touches like packing a picnic hamper of biscuits and cold drinks for our safari. Archery and other activities on site, The best of all was the staff. They made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. Could not recommend more highly. Views, staff, luxurious and modern rooms.
