마운틴사이드 하쿠바(Mountain Side Hakuba)

The staff at Mountainside really made us feel like at home. The consistency of care was more like on call concierge whenever required. The only question is when we will return not if. The features of the rooms include wall heating , floor heating and air conditioning. Picture windows capture the view of (one of the many ski resorts your passes allow) ski resorts which is breath taking.

The best ski accommodation I’ve stayed in. Very friendly and helpful staff and well appointed. Over the road from chairlift. Restaurant next door. Apartments are modern with fantastic views of the slopes. The free shuttle service to take you around makes everything easy

There's no shortage of accommodation at Hukuba. However you will struggle to find any as new, modern, and luxurious as Mountain Side. The apartment was huge, comfortable heating/cooling, great Wifi, and well equipped. I was even impressed with the TV having Apple TV functionality so I can stream tv/movies from my apple devices. The view is amazing, you felt like you were in a secluded mountain resort! The staff were very friendly, spoke good English, and always happy to accommodate our needs, including dropping us off into the town or one of the ski lifts. There is a dry room on the bottom floor for all of our ski gear. If you're planning on going up Happo-One, there is a chair lift literally across the road. We used Rhythm Ski Hire which is a 5min walk away to rent our gear. For a door-to-ski accommodation, this is bang on. Unfortunately, as we travelled for Spring Skiing, almost everyone was shut for the season, including most restaurants (in and around Mountain Side) and shuttle services. We struggled to find restaurants walking distance away, having to resort to catching a taxi to/from the accommodation to eat at night. The Happo-One chair lift opposite the accommodation was also done for the season, with the only option to be dropped off at the Happo-One Gondola or Hakuba 47 Gondola and then catching a taxi back. I'd recommend hiring a car if you plan on visiting outside of the winter season. Saying all that, I would definitely be back, now knowing we'd need to be better prepared for the limited services around Mountain Side.

My family and I stayed for a week earlier this month, besides being steps from the slope and ski lifts, the apartment concierge team’s exceptional care stands out as what made this trip amazing. The level of care and attention to detail made us feel like we were being cared for by great friends who were hosting us. Dinner and activity bookings were a breeze. My family and I will not hesitate to return as well as recommend this apartment to all our friends. 6 stars.

What a wonderful place from which to enjoy Hakuba Valley. Our 3br apartment was modern and comfortable and spotlessly clean. It overlooked the entry of the Kokusai chairlift only 50m away for quick access to Happo One ski area. The kitchen is fully functional and would be capable of self catering. The reception is staffed all day and into the evenings by warmly hospitable and highly competent staff. Dedicated shuttle vans available to book (and usually also ad -hoc ) for dinner and other excursions into Hakuba. The Happo village area is about a 10min walk, with the closest big ski hire only 2 mins away. We loved our stay will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Side - the friendly and courteous service provided by the Front Desk team and the drivers is faultless. As a first time visitor to the Hakuba Valley, thank you for the recommendations to the various ski resorts and places to dine at. Easy walking distances to many pubs and restaurants.

I have stayed slopeside all over the world and I have to say this is the best I have experienced! We had a family group of ten and had two three bedroom apartment. The fitout of mountain side is considered, luxurious and functional. It is 50 meters from a lift and after heavy snow you can ski to the front door. Great building, each bedroom ensuited, and not tiny little phone booth ensuites either! What set the place apart from the rest we have experienced was the service! James and the other friendly people at and around front desk just could not do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and every service was provided with a genuine smile. The shuttle service during the day for other lift was easy, they dropped us to the supermarket for a shop, dropped us at and picked us up from restaurant. They delivered us to the bus service at the end of our stay. I cannot rate Mountain Side highly enough. Bonus is the attached restaurant downstairs Olion, fantastic Sushi and Sashimi.

Faultless. We will be back. Great location, excellent accommodation and even better staff. Free shuttle makes everything easy. Restaurant recommendations and onsen bookings also terrific. Loved Hakuba and loved staying here at Mountain Side.
