"Kaliwa lodge was everything we dreamed of and more! First of all, the location of Kaliwa lodge is bliss. Right between the banana plantations, in the jungle at the foot of the Kilimanjaro is where you find the lodge. You feel like you are right inside of nature, eventhough you're not so far from Moshi! Secondly, the staff was extremely kind and made sure everything we wished for was fulfilled. The food that was served was unbelievable: the breakfast had a huge variety of fruits, yoghurt, muesli, eggs, pancakes and more.. Really anything you could wish for. The daily menu offered a 3 course meal of lovely food with a local twist (with which they served really tasty wine!). Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at Kaliwa Lodge, it was a blissful stay in a lush environment!"

The staff couldn’t be friendlier and are very accommodating, even leading us on walks to the local village and answering all of our questions. Rooms are basic and wifi better at the lodge, but it completely met my needs. The pool was refreshing after a long flight and a lovely place to hang out at the end of the day. Beautiful grounds."
