"This lovely hotel met our expectations in every way. It’s not cheap (for us at least) but it provides a high-end experience without being snooty. The staff are highly competent and friendly, many of them multilingual. The public spaces and grounds are lovely, including many impressive art works. My only quibble is that the selection of wines by the glass in the bar are decidedly uninspired. For one of the great wine growing regions of the world, they have missed the opportunity to showcase the glories of Umbrian wine in their by-the-glass options. On a practical level, as a point of departure for visiting Gubbio, the town is walkable from the hotel (maybe 10 minutes to the edge of the town center)."

A five minute walk into the town,on the Saturday we were there they had a market as big I had ever seen Plenty of first class restaurants All in all a great stay,and if we ever return to Gubbio we would not stay anywhere else"
