호텔 아르미다(Gamma Guaymas Armida Hotel)

The Armida is not impressive from the outside, but is wonderful inside. The grounds, rooms, and pool area are excellent. Truly an oasis in the middle of the city.

MUY MALA EXPERENCIA. Lobby no contesta, habitaciones viejas, hotel en general necesita reparación. Mentirosos los de lobby- durante un mes pedia la factura y me decían que dentro del día y nunca llegó. NO RECOMENDADO. Mejor City express y Holiday inn en Guaymas, edificios nuevo y el mismo costo.

The staff refused to give us more towels and sent us to a pharmacy for more toiletries

The beds were great, the place was clean and I loved the gardens and restaurant. The front desk staff did not even attempt to help me understand their Spanish, or try to understand my English- very rare in my extensive travels in Sonora! All other staff were attentive, patient and kind.

The hotel has a nice look making you feel like you're in a bit of a oasis. The surrounding city completely disappears because of it. Staff was friendly but a bit unprofessional. Paying on arrival, only for them to discover ******* also already made the transaction - So I paid double. They quickly discovered this and corrected the mistake. But still... We checked in 2 hours early, they kindly let us, but 1 room wasn't ready yet. It took them 3 hours to sort it out and I suspect they forgot about the 2nd room and didn't want to provide it at all. After repeated "wait for a whiles, we're cleaning the room" excuses I finally got the 2nd room and found it not so clean... Dust everywhere where a easy wipe couldn't reach. Wifi was pretty much non-existent and I couldn't connect my laptop at all. My phone kept dropping the connection because the signal was so weak. Absolutely useless. In both rooms amenities like towel hooks, tiling, outlets and small things like that were worn out or outright broken. Not a big deal, but once you poke through the thin layer of luxury you see at first glance a bit of a downer. Overall a fine hotel. But if I had to pay full price and this is what I got it's not something I'd return for.

They probably have the world's tallest cactus near the pool deck. Worth having a look.
