"We have stayed here a few times now. The location is unbeatable with it being in grasmere and having a private access to the lake. A morning walk to stand on the lake shore listening to the birds is so serene and relaxing. We stay in the lake room to get the best views from your window. One evening last year we watched the badgers on the lawn from our room. The rooms are functional and spotlessly clean. The owners and staff are all really welcoming and take time out to chat. In the spring/summer months, this place is unbeatable. We will be back."

"Lovely hotel in the centre of Grasmere. Greeted upon arrival and even took the time to explain where the restaurants that we had booked were. We stayed in room 2 as a luxury for our Silver Anniversary, nice and spacious plus the hot tub was lovely. Had afternoon tea both days and enjoyed our breakfast. Small thing, but beans would have topped it off beautifully. "
