"저희는 아이 2명과 함께 숙박했습니다. 온라인에서 미리 결제하고 찾아갔습니다. 리셉션에서 결제시 아이2명에 대한 추가요금을 요구했습니다. 이유는 온라인에서 결제시 아이2명을 포함하지 않았기 때문이라는 것입니다. 온라인에서 확인해보니 아이2명을 체크해도 가격이 똑같습니다. (우리 아이들은 3,4살입니다.) 베드 추가나 수건 추가 등 다른 어떤 추가도 없었습니다. 오직 체크하지 않았기때문에 추가요금을 내야한다고 리셉션은 말합니다. 결론적으로 미리 아이2명을 체크했으면 동일한 가격에 이용했을텐데 체크하지 않았다고 5,000f 추가요금이 붙었습니다. 입실 할 때 아이 두 명 나이에 대해 리셉션은 확인했고, 별다른 얘기 없었습니다. 그러나 퇴실할때 돈 내야 한다고 하더군요. 저는 이 과정이 이해되지 않습니다. 음식은 맛있습니다. 객실도 청결합니다. 오직 리셉션 응대만 이해되지 않습니다. 사전에 모든걸 확인하고 입실하시기 바랍니다."

"One of the best places in Lome in my book. Calm, clean, excellent service and not too far from the city. A hotel i recommend. If you need a place to relax with family, this is it and the cuisine is very nice too as they have a healthy breakfast. The view is also soothing as we have a splendid capture of the sea."

"Lovely staff. Very comfortable and very clean room. Generous shower. Air conditioning and fan included. Effective Wi-Fi, fairly decent TV, rooms at 22,000 without Canal+, few channels available except France24 and TV5Monde. Canal+ available in rooms at 27,000. Huge breakfast. Quiet and peaceful night. Legal European couples welcome."

"Marcelo is decent choice for those wishing to spend a few days on Togo's coast. I have mixed feelings about this area on the edge of Lome. The shoreline is either fancy hotels or slums and serious poverty. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. My two floor suite felt luxurious to me, who doesn't normally stay in places like this. The wooden floor wasn't perfect. Sharp to stand on in places where it was uneven. Fixtures in the bathroom not that well maintained. Despite being seemingly nearly empty, they placed me in a suite which faced outwards, outside of the hotel grounds. I would have preferred to face inwards but once I was there, I couldn't be bothered to ask to move. The swimming pool is massive and was wonderful to have access to in the heat as it was. Would have been nice if they'd placed a few tables there too, instead of just sunbeds. The umbrellas weren't well maintained and were beginning to fall apart in places. The included breakfast in the restaurant was great. Very varied buffet, options to suit many tastes, good coffee. The rest of the food served in the restaurant certainly did not live up to the prices, which are astronomical for Togo. Unfortunately, any meal in this area is a battle between you and the flies. I found this very uncomfortable. A few flies are to be expected in a hot country, but this was like a plague. It was nowhere near this bad anywhere else I've visited Benin, Togo and Ghana. I can only guess that it is this way due to the squalid living conditions in the area around. One day I had a pizza and I was basically stuffing it into my mouth with one hand whilst constantly waving my hand over the remainder. All drinks have to be covered with coasters. The little cove they've created for swimming is a nice idea. The sewage (or whatever it was floating in the cove at hightide did not make it tempting to swim. So, if you want a hotel of reasonable quality in this area then you could do worse than Marcelo. But I would suggest that there are many better places for a beach holiday."

"The hotel staff were helpful, and my room was spacious and clean. Lots of hot water! The restaurant on the top floor provides a nice view of the Gulf of Guinea (except for 1 big building in the way). I've seen better breakfast buffets, but there is as much coffee as you want. Lunches and dinners were fine - pizzas were okay, the lasagna and penne arrabiata were better. The hotel if close to the beach, next to the Grand Marche, and close to the Government areas of Lome."
