It's a very nice hotel in durres,It's very convenient in the city center.The service in the hotel is very friendly (ω)I like it so much.I have to mention Enea and Hergi for their help when I first came to Albania.Very kind to me,help us many things,let us know more about albania and love it! I will choice Duka hotel again when I come to albania.

This is a new hotel but the staff are very well experienced and knowledgeable. The rooms are super modern and very well designed. Spacious and clean with 5-star amenities and Nuxe toiletries. And the bed and pillows... 😍😍😍 The spa and facilities are very clean. Parking is available for guests which is a big plus if you're driving as the area is very busy. It's attached to a mall but has its own entrance too. Tons of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. I would highly recommend it! I stayed there during my birthday and they surely made it very special for me. Even got me a cake and a bottle of champs. Thank you guys! Hopefully, I'll see you again soon.

There is nothing like 5* hotel. 1. The reception of the hotel double charge the amount of my stay and refuse to contact with travel agency until I come and ask them to email back. 2. I ask for room clean service on second day I stayed, but no cleaning has been done. 3. The third day they cleaned my room but they threw out all toothbrushes provided, and no refills of the toothbrushes. 4. The hair conditioner and shampoo are in each other’s bottles, which shows no professional at all. 5. Far from beach and the room is nothing like the picture, without balcony.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Wir waren zu fünft und hatten ursprünglich 2 Zimmer gebucht. Einmal mit 3 Betten und einmal mit 2 Betten. Wo wir ankamen wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir ein Zimmerupgrade erhalten. Wir haben 2 Suits erhalten und wir haben alle noch nie so einen Hotelaufenthalt gehabt! Alles sehr sauber, super Lage und das Spa war auch Top! Der Jakuzzi war sehr warm und für uns gab es alle platz zusammen reinzugehen. Sehr zu empfehlen! Wurde erst vor ein paar Monaten eröffnet

The hotel was lovely but was set in a shopping precinct and access to it was up 2 flight of steps just to get to the lift up to the hotel which is not great if you have mobility issues. The rooms were great. There was a spa but we didn't actually try it. Breakfast was a good variety but sadly all the cooked food was luke warm at best and therefore not great. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and had no complaints about the food. However it took forever from ordering to it appearing on the table. It wasn't so bad the first time as we were one of two customers. The second time some people had to wait over an hour for food and some were eating at 9.30 due to the waiting. Shame it let the hotel down.

My stay at the Grand Duka Hotel in Durrës was truly outstanding. The hotel is elegant, modern, and immaculately maintained, creating an atmosphere of comfort and sophistication from the moment you arrive. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and equipped with everything needed for a luxurious stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and every detail reflected quality and care. The location is excellent—close to the sea and city attractions while still offering peace and privacy. What impressed me most was the staff: professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, delivering service on par with top international hotels. Grand Duka Hotel exceeded all expectations and is without a doubt a five-star gem in Durrës.

A wonderful place: location, staff, facilities and so much help with transportation and services. They sent a taxi for me from a less appropriate hotel and offered other services which were so helpful as I am a senior woman traveling alone and have some mobility issues. Highly recommend.

I spent two days at this hotel with my husband and everything was amazing. The rooms were really comfortable and the location is great. The breakfast was good but quite basic — they could improve it a bit by adding more variety. For example, not every day there was yogurt available. Another area for improvement is the spa. It felt very basic: the hammam was out of order, the space was really small, and the only facilities available were a jacuzzi, two showers, and a sauna. Since the hotel doesn’t have a pool, it would be nice to have a better and more complete spa area, especially a larger jacuzzi. Despite these small issues, I would definitely recommend the hotel. The bellboy who helped us with our luggage was extremely kind, as were several of the reception staff — they made us feel very welcome. It was a bit confusing at first that the hotel is located inside a shopping mall, but that didn’t affect our stay at all. We would definitely come back — we truly felt at home. Hopefully, they can improve those small details in the breakfast and spa.

I stayed at Grand Duka Hotel & Spa from 1st to 8th August 2025 as a solo traveller on a 7-day vacation in Durrës. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel and feel compelled to share my experience to help fellow travellers make informed decisions. As someone who travels frequently (180+ days a year), I have extensive experience with international hotel standards. Despite its 5-star label, Grand Duka does not meet the basic expectations associated with this category. 1. Payment Issues: The most serious issue I encountered was a duplicate charge for my stay, even though the room had already been prepaid. While the hotel eventually refunded the overcharged amount after several days, they refused to cover the additional banking and currency exchange fees I incurred due to the error. Even worse, the management stopped responding to my emails once I asked for clarification on this matter — which I find highly unprofessional. 2. Location: The hotel is located inside a worn-out shopping mall, which detracts significantly from any sense of luxury. The atmosphere feels commercial and impersonal, not at all what one expects from a 5-star property. 3. Facilities: SPA: The hotel’s name includes “Spa,” which naturally raises expectations — unfortunately unmet. The sauna and Jacuzzi are very basic, more reminiscent of a private apartment setup than a professional spa facility. Gym: The gym is extremely limited in both space and equipment. It feels like it was built simply to check a box in the 5-star requirements, but it is not functional or usable for any serious workout. 4. Housekeeping: Cleaning routines were inconsistent and frankly surprising. On multiple days, room cleaning was not done before 16:00, which is far from acceptable at this level. 5. Breakfast: The breakfast offering is very limited and uninspired. Variety, quality, and service fall short of what any international traveller would expect from a hotel claiming five stars. In conclusion, despite the hotel’s branding and online presentation, my overall experience was far below expectations. Between payment mishandling, unprofessional communication, subpar facilities, and poor service standards, I cannot recommend Grand Duka Hotel & Spa. I hope this honest review will help improve the standards for future guests.
