"Two years ago, we stayed for ten days in the town of Oberkirch in the Black Forest. During one of our trips, we decided to have lunch at Hotel Rebstock in Durbach. We were already used to the enormous hospitality in this beautiful region, but this was different. Hospitality 2.0 Inspired by this special experience, we decided to book this hotel from December 27, 2025 to January 3, 2026. Because of New Year’s Eve, there was a special New Year’s (Silvester) package, including breakfast and dinner. The hotel’s location is beautiful, set in a valley and surrounded by vineyards. From the moment you drive up the access road to the parking area, you are embraced by the harmony between the surroundings and the hotel’s design and choice of materials. From the moment we checked in at the hotel reception, we were reassured that we had made the right choice. The staff immediately makes you feel that they truly appreciate welcoming you as a guest of the hotel. And you feel this appreciation from all the staff — the reception team, hostesses, housekeeping, service staff, and certainly not forgetting the owner and his family (the familiy Baumann). The rooms are spacious, warmly decorated, and very clean. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool and the garden. The breakfast offers everything you could possibly expect or wish for, always accompanied by the staff’s genuine attention and their question of whether there is anything else they can do for you. Dinner was a celebration every single evening. Beautifully presented plates with the most delicious dishes. Throughout the day, we found ourselves looking forward to dinner time again and again. Despite the hotel being fully booked, the kitchen and staff managed to serve everyone their chosen dishes in a highly professional, personal and timely manner. In general, we enjoyed wonderful local wines there. My wife and I travel a lot, constantly in search of new discoveries and experiences in the Netherlands and throughout Europe. Here at Hotel Rebstock Durbach, everything came together for us at an exceptionally high level: the surroundings, the hotel, the room, the breakfast, the dinners, the wines — but above all the friendliness, hospitality, and professionalism of the staff. Together, they ensured that we were able to fully enjoy everything on offer. Thank you so much, the Baumann family and staff. We will certainly come back to enjoy your hospitality again.
