'I decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked. Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance. The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre. Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well. Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home. The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want. Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!'

'Hotel room was perfectly pleasant, but the mattress and pillows were unbelievably uncomfortable and neither of us got much sleep at all. Wouldn't recommend based on this alone, because it ruined the entire experience.'

'공항으로 직행버스가 있고 호텔 시설과 서비스도 아주 좋고 그린라인과 아주 가까워서 이동이 편리하고 유일한 단점은 저우취안에서 먹을 곳이 별로 없어서 그린라인을 이용해서 보완하고 있습니다'

'우리는 더블린을 보기 위해 4일 동안 갔다. 아파트는 공간, 대형 사무실 주방, 냉장고, 전자레인지, 커피 메이커, 토스터 및 주방 도구 등 가구가 잘 갖춰져 있습니다. 더블 침실이 있으며, 식당에는 대형 소파 베드가 마련되어 있습니다. 리셉션 직원은 매우 친절합니다. 심지어 언제든지 누르기만 하면 택시가 문앞으로 오는 ”버튼”도 있습니다. 위치가 좋고, 매우 큰 슈퍼마켓이 200m 거리에 있으며, 버스와 기차 정류장이 5분 거리에 있어 더블린 중심부까지 15분 안에 이동할 수 있습니다. 내 경우처럼 택시를 선호한다면 20유로를 내면 센터까지 데려다줄 것입니다(4명이면 택시 요금이 부과됩니다).'
