BLR 비치 리조트(Blr Beach Resort)

I was in Barbados for an international standards meeting and got closed out of the meeting hotel. That turned out to be no bad thing! The BLR was right up the street, and while I can't call it a "beach resort", it was an entirely pleasant stay. The highlight is probably the pool; the water was so well maintained that I didn't need goggles to seim. Second would be the bar, while not properly part of BLR, had the best drinks at the best prices of anyone around. The room had a few minor issues; such as a noisy, gurgling kitchen sink, and a dead tired armchair. The price was right, though, and the staff were quite helpful. At no point did I regret missing out on the meeting hotel (more expensive and not demonstratively better!)

I stayed in one of their self-catering Air BnB, which was my first time staying in such accommodation. The positives are, the living area was small but met my needs. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the shower, it was refreshing and nice. Dwayne Johnson and his staff do their best to make your stay comfortable - thank you. Be careful!! I was upstairs and if you have a conversation in the hallway, your neighbours in the next apartment will hear EVERYTHING!! There is an internal door separating you from the other apartments. The kitchen did not have adequate utensils for me to cook. However, they provided it once I told them. The photos shown do not relate to the Air BnB, the furnishing is very basic, most of the pictures are misleading and you have to walk 5 -8 minutes to the swimming pool if your in the Air BnB. Safety Tip - BLR villa's contacted me through ******* (this is how I booked). They provided me the name of a taxi driver called Cheyenne, he is professional and made me feel very safe. Being a solo traveller and arriving late at night because my flight was delayed, was a bit frightening. However Cheyenne made sure I got to my accommodation safely - he took very good care of me, I am very grateful. I know what to expect should I choose BLR villas again - the efforts of the staff would make me return.

Restaurant/bar closed. Room was spacious and comfortable but had black mold on walls around AC. There was a nice little private courtyard outside the room with table & chairs. Pool was immaculate! Room safe was locked and unable to be used despite a notice at check in to make sure and lock all valuables in the safe!

These people are scammers! Do not waste your time or energy! A few days before we were scheduled to arrive they decided to tell us they had no rooms available knowing that we would be in a jam to find another place. They then kept our money and put us in a 1 star 2 bedroom apartment (Bonanza Apartments). The lights were dimmed. The staff at the complex (Sharon) was very creepy, dress always inside out. Anytime we needed something fixed they came in the night when we weren’t around to fix it. The door to enter the establishment was through the bedrooms, so anytime you entered it’s through someone’s room. We never got serviced although they told us multiple times we would be and we were there for 7 days. The tv never worked and we were staying with a child. They claimed they were fixing it and we’re still waiting. The shower head water splattered everywhere which that was the only thing they fixed after 3 days. We tried to get some money back (at least two nights) because it was no where near worth the original price paid (over $2,800) for the room we should’ve gotten and the owner Dwayne specifically said to me “What money? Where are you going to find a place now?” He knew he put us in a jam and he scammed us. I will never stay anywhere with his name affiliated. I should’ve read the horrible reviews and NOT went with them because seriously we were beyond disappointed. The place was run down and non functional. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! They shouldn’t even be on *******.

We booked a room in BLR Beach Resort through JetBlue Vacations (*******). However, on arrival at the hotel, the manager didn't find our reservation in the hotel system however found our reservation on *******. The manager told us about an “unknown issue” but it looked like BLR Beach Resort management practices overbooking ... . So they were full and couldn't provide us with the room we paid for. They suggested us villa instead which was awful. They said they could do us a "favor" to give us a room but 4 hours later ... . We lost half of our vacation day waiting for the room and we were told to switch the room in the middle of our vacation for the other one, which means that we again lost time packing our stuff to move to the other room. However, when we were ready to move (we discussed the specific time before), our room was not ready and we also couldn't stay in the first room because of the other guests who arrived in this room. They suggested us to wait again ... . So eventually after we were completely devastated, they gave us another ready room (why they didn't do it right away is a question).

The staff starting with Dwayne Johnson. Manager very helpful in all aspects of your stay. Any issues contact him. Info to contact in side of door. Getting wifi on your phone is on 2 laminated sheets with diagrams of your surroundings. The office staff are the friendliest The cleaning staff are the best. Just ask for extra towels + toilet paper wash cloth they got your. Now if you need laundry done its $10 for wash $10 to dry. Use debit/ credit card. Learn that US money is worth more than Barbados money. so get familiar with that. Their is a restaurant on property and others done the street. Make sure your get to use local ways to go in town it runs about $7 barbados per person have exact amount they only take their money. Check around for prices they vary. People are nice. When going to atm always be aware of your surroundings don't show what you take out just fold and put away. Your being charged for using their atm machine. It will appear on your bank statements. The food its great try different things. Tour the island have fun.

There was alot that happened with my reservation but the property manager did take care of us. They were unable to host us for the 1st night but the second property was not on the same level as BLR. His service was the only only that was worth rating (5/5 for Dwayne). We initially tried to check in with a woman who was not in the office. when we did talk to her she did not mention there was any issue and then asked us to wait for the manager (Manager) who was obviously taking care of other issues. She then proceeded to leave for the day. It was a solid 30 minutes in the bajan sun before we were able to have him take care of our check-in and proceeding issues. Night 1: Different propety Night 2: The room was sufficient but the bed was horrible. It was sunken in the middle and everything hurt the next day. The showers do not drain properly. The room stated ocean view when nothing at the property has an oceanview. Food choices: Bland with bad service In all Dwayne saved the day and gave 5 start service but the property has alot to be worked on

I truly loved the size of the accommodations. I had a full two bedroom two bathroom apartment with kitchen, dining area and living room. The space was great for three adults and wasnlocated on the ground floor. This gave us full access to the pool. What i didn't like was the fact that they advertised a swim up bar and there was none, the parking ****** and for the most part the only person on duty in the office was also the housekeeper among other duties, this caused long wait tumea outside of the office. The level fo experience of thw staff also varied dramatically causing me a hiccup at check-in . This was soon cleared up

Enjoyed three nights here, and they're very nicely located and within walking distance of all kinds of restaurants, a small market, and car rental shops. Checking in was very easy. Don't forget about the taxes that ********** tells you about in the fine print but doesn't charge you at booking. You'll need to remit that when you show up. Everyone (guests and staff) were super friendly. Bajan culture exudes friendliness. The room was comfortable, and the AC worked well. I wish there was a bit more counter space in the bathroom, but we made do. The TV had a firestick on it for use.
