It was hard not to give full marks to this hotel, ideally located on NCN 72, Hadrians Wall C2C. The service was excellent I enjoyed my evening meal and breakfast. We were given a warm room to store our bikes. The bed was comfortable. It was let down by being a bit tatty in places, the equipment in the bar was so noisy we couldn’t sit in there and chose the reception area. I would stay again.

Lovely historic old building, but in need of someone with deep pockets to refurbish and bring back to its former glory. The room was good and nice big bathroom but all in need of some redecoration. The restaurant was a bit mixed and the description on the website needs to be either re-written or the chef should step up to the standards that are described. Breakfast was good. The main thing that sells this hotel is the staff. Reception staff were excellent and looked after us really nicely. It was a one off meet up for old friends and enjoyable. Parking is good although one entrance is quite tight buy you can access through a wider gate.

Dropped in when house hunting. Stopped for a meal and had one of their legendary homemade pies. It lived up to the hype! Had a wonderful nights stay in the Brereton suite. It was very quiet and we slept very well. It had an amazing shower! Breakfast was a plated affair and was freshly cooked and services was very friendly. I think what makes Moresby Hall stand out is the quality of service and the lovely staff. We were made to feel completely relaxed and at home for our stay.

Had a brilliant night here with my lauren last night. Proper old medieval manor house built in the 1700's. First thoughts was *** it looks scary but when in inside it's unreal. That staircase reminds me of the titanic. Sat in front of the massive fire drinking the finest red wine on offer talking to some of the locals. They told use 3 bodies where found under the floor in front of the fire after the info they got from the programm most *******. Check it out on you tube. The food was next level, 3 course meal again washed down with the finest red wine oooouuaahh! Breakfast was smoked salmon with scrambled egg and a small breakfast. If you haven't been I highly recommend you try it. Nice place, nice friendly people and nice food. The beds nice n hard too 💪💦💪

We are just back from our second stay at Moresby Hall and it was every bit as good as our first visit. We had a lovely welcome from the very friendly staff and the warm fire in the entrance hall was very welcoming too, on a cold January day. The rooms range from cosy doubles to spacious elegant doubles and grand four posters. This time we were in Agricola a lovely spacious room with a king size ultra comfy bed. The spacious bathroom has a bath and separate walk-in shower. The entire place is spotlessly clean. The food is quite simply superb so be sure to book in for dinner. Portions are generous. And finally the icing on the cake is the price – it is very reasonable both for the standard of accommodation and the food. Moresby Hall is steeped in history with mullioned windows and walls about 3 feet thick. The accommodation however has all the modern day facilities such as good Wi-Fi, large screen TV, tea coffee facilities etc. Book direct to get all the information about the different rooms. Enjoy it!

Lovely place to stay, we stayed in the Copeland room, I'll start with the only negative, the room was cold. Positives, lovely welcome reception staff very welcoming and helpful, the room was worth every penny, comfortable huge bed, jacuzzi bath, soft towels, lovely breakfast. The purpose of our stay was to visit family generally once per year as it's a trek for us, this was the first time staying here but won't be out last, whilst slightly more expensive then usual places it was worth every penny. Next time we will eat as the breakfast was lovely so can I ly assume the evening menu is equally as nice.
