스윈턴 파크 호텔(Swinton Park)

From start to finish everything was perfect. Everyone made us feel so welcome, from the staff to our fellow guests. We had so many great conversations with such a diverse group of wonderful people. We had a complimentary room upgrade which was wonderful, we stayed for 2 nights in the Thirsk room; which was lovely, warm and comfortable. I would recommend the Champagne welcome package and late checkout, it was great to enjoy a chilled glass of champagne in our room as we got ready for dinner. We ate both nights at Samuel’s, which is in a stunningly decorated dining hall, the service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Breakfast both days was also at Samuel’s and it was really nice; great value. They have cooked and continental available and it was all good quality. I would have liked more sweet options on the menu, perhaps French toast or waffles. But that’s just nitpicking. There’s loads of activities you can join in to, we really enjoyed the cocktail tasting at the Terrace bar, where we acted as guinea pigs for new cocktail creations, it was a fun experience. The cocktails which we actually paid for were also very good. Likewise the cocktails at Samuel’s bar were also well made. The spa was amazing, I especially liked the Finnish sauna and outdoor hydrotherapy pool and hot tub. The outdoor pool is cold but just take the plunge! You will not regret it. The spa also has lovely outdoor beds, with warm blankets and a hot water bottle. Perfect to relax with a few drinks. There’s honesty just too much to say, the house itself is stunning, the grounds are gorgeous and I cannot wait to return again.

A fantastic hotel with an excellent spa, restaurant, set of grounds and list for activities each day

This week myself and my wife and a couple of friends booked in for the chefs table by josh Barnes I have to say the food was out of this world and the wine pairing was excellent but there was a couple of things that made the night a bit flat, Firstly was that the food was basically cooked away from us and was just plated in front of us as you would do on a pass with a brief explanation of what it was. I've been to the chefs table before at Swinton and last time most of the food was cooked Infront of us with a full explanation of what was going on. When the chefs was asked questions he seemed very reluctant to answer the questions. The other problem I found was with the serving of the wine, when five people have ordered the wine flight and there is still basically half a bottle of wine left then I feel I wasn't getting a full legal measure of wine ( 125ml as set out by weights and measure act that is 5 servings in a bottle of wine) especially when we all paying £70 pound for four glasses of wine a posh cider and a soft drink of kabucha I feel I was a little robbed. Over all a good night.

Dog-friendly gorgeous castle surrounded by endless acres of beautiful nature. What a treat it was to be able to celebrate my birthday with our dog. He loved it too.

Both me and my partner stayed here for an overnight break. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The spa, food and hotel were all to an exceptionally high standard. We have already encouraged family and friends to go if they’re after a get away/spa break.

Lovely hotel and staff, food delicious! Great location near to Masham, though a quiet setting didn't feel too far from larger towns such as Ripon.

We spent two wonderful days at Swinton Estate Hotel - superb accomodation in beautiful, very extensive grounds with woodland, lakes and a deer park to explore at leisure. Excellent spa facilities including excellent swimming pool with extensive opening hours, access to which included in room rate throughout the stay.

Wonderful night’s stay at Swinton. Enjoyed the spa, dinner in Samuel’s and walking the grounds. Was the perfect night away and the property is so well equipped you’ll not run out of things to do. Billiards / Games room was really fun in the evening.

I am fairly well travelled. Swinton is up there with the best. Simply superb in every way. Expensive but understandably so.
