"We were visiting south Italy and our flights had an overnight stay in Rome. I ended up booking a room at Villa Alma for the night as it is close to the airport. The taxi from the airport dropped us at the entrance to the street instead of driving us to the front of the building. The driver was also rude and dismissive. It was late when we arrived. So about 10:30pm. Normally check in to Villa Alma closes at 9pm but the owner (Opi??) was waiting for us outside to guide us to the building. Since the taxi did not take us all the way to the door, we were not clear which building to go to but Opi waiting for us outside really helped. Opi was furious that the taxi driver was rude and also made us walk. When we told him what we paid for the ride, he told us he overcharged us and that was wrong. He said he was planning to go to the airport in the morning so he could drop us off as well. We went for a walk and had dinner. This is a nice neighborhood with a canal running through it. It has bridges over it. The view is nice. Also there are plenty of restaurants and bars open in very easy walking distance. We enjoyed our walk a lot. It seems this neighborhood has some festivals in summer so it might be good to go back. Anyway the room was clean, smelled good, well maintained and overall pleasant. We stayed at the room in the first floor (half a flight of walk up) Opi had a breakfast ready for us when we got up in the morning. He had juice, filled croissants, yogurt, coffee, tea etc. Overall I would say the breakfast was nice. He ended up driving us to the airport (along with somebody who works there) as he promised and refused to take money to make up for the bad treatment we had by the taxi driver the night before. We insisted but he refused it. Such a nice guy who made us feel good and happy to meet him. In general I prefer to not to write negative only reviews. But I made sure to write when somebody goes above and beyond. So in general this stay was definitely a good one."

"The Hotel was immaculate through out. The room was spacious with a small balcony and a view of the lake and Garda town. The room was fresh and contemporary with a large walk in shower. The room was cleaned every day and all the staff were very attentive. There are two pool areas. An infinity pool which is very cold and also another conventional pool that is kept warm. There is also a small spa and bike hire on the lower floor. The town of Garda is 1.5 miles down a steep hill. Although a car or scooter is not necessary it brings its advantages, if you are the exploring kind. We had breakfast every day in the dinning room. Which was the usual continental style. The hotel menu for dinner is, almost fine dinning and quite varied. There are quite a few places to eat in town, if you prefer. All together it was a lovely stay"

"Excellent location, great view on lake Garda, pool was very clean with pleasant water temperature, the apartments are big enough and very clean with all the necessary things. We even had two refrigerators"

"드빌 & 스파 호텔에서 정말 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다! 객실은 깨끗하고 편안했으며 관리가 잘 되어 있었습니다. 레스토랑에서의 저녁 식사도 훌륭했고, 직원들은 친절했으며 아들을 위해 특별히 요청 사항까지 들어주었습니다. 고기는 완벽하게 조리되었고, 함께 나눠 먹은 생선 요리는 정말 맛있었습니다. 아침 일찍 가끔 공사 소음이 들리는 것을 제외하고는 모든 것이 만족스러웠습니다. 저희가 묵는 동안 에어컨이 작동하지 않았지만 창문을 열어두니 쾌적하게 지낼 수 있었습니다. 호텔 위치는 주변 지역을 둘러보기에 편리했지만, 차가 꼭 필요했습니다. 이 호텔을 강력 추천하며, 다음에 꼭 다시 방문하고 싶습니다!"

"The owner was overbearing and in our face the whole time we were there, could barely relax because of her desperation to "please" unfortunately it was very off-putting, more so because she was showing my husband more attention than myself or any other guests for that matter! The view of the lake was somewhat dismal. The atmosphere was mediocre at best and overall it was a disappointing experience."

"What a culinary experience….The spaghetti with lobster and burrata were fantastic, the fried calamari and prawns were perfect not to mention the Neapolitan pastry desserts which were superb, thanks for the beautiful experience we will see you soon."

"The hotel staff were welcoming. We had booked an apartment with a sea view, and the view was relaxing and stunning. The staff only speak English or Italian. We had to ask four times for our baby cot; we arrived at 12:30 pm, and I had to complain at reception at 8:30 pm because it still wasn't there. The apartments are basic but spacious. Some basic equipment is missing, such as pots, pans, dishes, scissors, and a corkscrew. Be careful if you have a stroller, as everything is elevated with many stairs. The pool area lacks children's play equipment; there's only one pool and a sort of paddling pool that's quite cold (the pools are unheated). The hotel is centrally located for visiting the surrounding area, which is truly magnificent (Sirmione, Verona, etc.)."
